関東地方（かんとうちほう）は、日本の地域区分（七地方区分）の1つであり、本州の東部に位置している。

The Kantō region (関東地方, Kantō-chihō, IPA: [ka(ꜜ)ntoː tɕiꜜhoː]) is a geographical region of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. In a common definition, the region includes the Greater Tokyo Area and encompasses seven prefectures: Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa. Slightly more than 45 percent of the land area within its boundaries is the Kantō Plain. The rest consists of the hills and mountains that form land borders with other regions of Japan.

關東地方（日语：関東地方／かんとう ちほう ^{Kantō chihō */?}）是指日本本州中部偏東瀕太平洋的地區，由茨城縣、栃木縣、群馬縣、埼玉縣、千葉縣、東京都、神奈川縣所構成，有時還會加上山梨縣。其以東京為中心，居住人口超過4千3百萬，聚集超過日本三分之一的人口；以關東地方1都3縣為核心的東京都會區（首都圈），人口逾3千7百萬人，是世界最大都市圈。

간토 지방(일본어: 関東地方 かんとうちほう^[*], 문화어: 관동 지방)은 일본 혼슈의 동부에 있는 이바라키현, 도치기현, 군마현, 사이타마현, 지바현, 가나가와현, 도쿄도의 1도 6현을 말한다. 중앙 정부에서 행정상 일본을 8개 지방으로 구분할 때는, 수도권에 야마나시현이 포함되기 때문에, 간토 지방을 말할 때에도 야마나시현을 포함하는 경우가 있다.

Questa regione comprende Tokyo e le sei prefetture intorno: Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba e Kanagawa. I suoi confini sono approssimativamente gli stessi di quelli della pianura del Kantō. Comunque la pianura ne costituisce solo leggermente poco più del 40%, per il resto consiste delle colline e montagne che si trovano ai suoi confini, eccetto che lungo le coste.
