תל בַּטָּשׁ (במקור תַל אל-בַּטַאשִׁי) הוא תל קדום באזור השפלה, על גדתו המערבית של נחל שורק, ממערב לקיבוץ צרעה.
Timnath or Timnah was a Philistine city in Canaan that is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible in Judges 14 and in connection with Samson. Modern archaeologists identify the ancient site with a tell lying on a flat, alluvial plain, located in the Sorek Valley ca. 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north-west of Beit Shemesh, near moshav Tal Shahar in Israel, known in Hebrew as Tel Batash (תל בטש) or Teluliot Batashi (plural), and in Arabic as Tell Butashi or Teleilat Batashi (plural). The site is not to be confused with neither the as yet unidentified Timna from the hill country of Judah (Josh 15:57), nor with the southern copper-smelting site of Timna in the Arabah near Eilat.
Timna is een plaats uit de oudheid. De plaats is bekend uit de Hebreeuwse Bijbel, waar deze vooral genoemd wordt als Filistijns stadje, in verband met de richter Simson. Vrijwel zeker moet Timna geïdentificeerd worden met Tel Batash, tussen het oude Ekron en Bet Shemesh. Op de tell zijn tussen 1977 en 1989 opgravingen verricht, onder leiding van G.L. Kelm en Amihai Mazar.

Timna (Tel Batasch) (hebr. תמנע, תל בטש) ist eine archäologische Fundstelle zwischen der Bahnstrecke Jaffa–Jerusalem und dem Nachal Sorek nordwestlich von Bet Schemesch. Der Tell befindet sich auf einem Quadrat von 190 m Seitenlänge, ungefähr 3,6 Hektar.
