紀淡海峡（きたんかいきょう）は、紀州（和歌山県和歌山市、田倉崎）と淡路島（兵庫県洲本市、生石鼻）の間の海峡。友ヶ島水道とも。大阪湾と紀伊水道を幅11キロメートルの海峡でつないでいる。
The Kitan Strait (紀淡海峡, Kitan kaikyō) or Tomogashima Channel (友ヶ島水道, Tomogashima suidō) separates Awaji Island from Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan and connects the Osaka Bay in the north to the Kii Channel in the south. The total width is 11 km, but the islands of Tomogashima reduce the distance to be spanned by a proposed bridge. The strait forms part of the Setonaikai National Park.

Le détroit de Kitan (紀淡海峡, Kitan Kaikyō) est un passage maritime d’une largeur approximative de 11 kilomètres. Il sépare la baie d’Ōsaka, qui constitue la partie orientale de la mer intérieure de Seto, du canal de Kii, qui débouche sur l’océan Pacifique. Les villes de Sumoto (préfecture de Hyōgo) et de Wakayama (préfecture de Wakayama) se situent de part et d’autre du détroit. Actuellement, des ferrys permettent la traversée de celui-ci. Cependant, des projets de ponts suspendus et de tunnels ont été proposés pour pouvoir relier plus facilement les deux rives.
