Fort Drum was a town in Okeechobee County, Florida, United States, located on US 441, between Yeehaw Junction and Okeechobee. A service plaza on Florida's Turnpike is named after the town. The Fort Drum Wildlife Management Area consists of nearly 21,000 acres in southwestern Indian River County and is named for its proximity to the town and is known as the birthplace of the St. John's River. Fort Drum is the only known locale for crystal bearing fossil shells. There is a cemetery in the middle of the town on almost eight acres, in which many of the first settlers of Fort Drum were buried and still remain. It is currently owned and maintained by Okeechobee County.
Okeechobee station is a train station in Okeechobee, Florida, served by Amtrak. The previous depot at the site was built in 1924 for the Seaboard Air Line Railway, and was demolished in 2014. Amtrak currently uses an adjacent shelter constructed in 2011. Built of red brick accented with cream-colored, rock-faced stonework, the shelter has a waiting room with large windows. The $1.5 million project was funded through Amtrak's Mobility First initiative under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The Okeechobee County Courthouse, built in 1926, is an historic courthouse building located at 304 Northwest Second Street in Okeechobee, Florida. It was designed by architect George Gaynor Hyde of Miami in what has been variously called the Southern Colonial Revival or Mediterranean Revival style of architecture. Due to the collapse of the Florida Land Boom during its construction, its central dome was never built. After the 1928 Okeechobee hurricane, its hallways were used as a temporary morgue. An open breezeway was planned and built through the center front of the first floor but was later enclosed; the winding stairways to the second floor courtroom still remain.

Designed by architects William Hatcher and Lawrence Funke, it was built in 1925 by Rogers and Duncanson. In 1989, it was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press.
