Langston was a small station on the Hayling Island branch. The station along with the rest of the line closed in 1963, and it served the Langstone area of Havant, a former village which had become contiguous with the larger town to its north. The railway companies always used the old spelling "Langston" for the station, in spite of this form not being used by the local community, and it can be seen in many photographs of the station sign.
The River Wallington curves and gently meanders west then south in south-east Hampshire. Rising at sources to north and south of Waterlooville these flow west around Portsdown Hill into a dammed section as the lake in the grounds of Southwick House to unite, then through the village of Southwick then, in that parish, to receive the Beck of similar flow from the north. The river turns south and runs past fields and past the large town Fareham, before entering Portsmouth Harbour, as its main natural watercourse inflow, at Wallington.

Baker's Island is an island in Langstone Harbour, Hampshire, England. It is 400 m (1,300 ft) long and up to 300 m (980 ft) wide but only rises to a little over 2 m (7 ft) above Ordnance Datum. Mesolithic and Neolithic flintwork has been found on the island along with Bronze Age and Romano-British pottery. There are a number of structures on the island including the remains of a flint walled building and five 5 by 1.5 m (16.4 by 4.9 ft) brick shelters believed to be part of a World War Two starfish decoy site. In 1978 the island along with the other islands in Langstone Harbour was acquired by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds who turned it into a bird sanctuary. Since that time unauthorised landings have been forbidden.

Long Island is an island in Langstone Harbour in Hampshire, England. It is 750 metres (820 yd) long and up to 250 metres (270 yd) wide. Three Bronze Age pots have been found on the island as has Mesolithic and late neolithic flint-work. Bronze Age pottery along with smaller amounts of Romano-British pottery have been found on the island.
North Binness Island is an island in Langstone Harbour It is 900 metres (980 yd) long and up to 250 metres (270 yd) wide but only rises to 2.5 metres (8 ft) above Ordnance Datum The island was originally (along with a large part of Farlington Marshes) part of Binner's Island. The island has been uninhabited in recent times but there is evidence of historical occupation. A 100-metre (110 yd) long earthwork on the island has been suggested to date from the 18th century. There is also archaeological evidence that suggests the island was occupied during the Bronze Age and the Roman period. Finds from the Bronze Age include evidence of a salt works. The Island and has also produced finds dating back to the Mesolithic period prior to the formation of Langstone Harbour and the island.

The Station Theatre is a small amateur dramatics theatre located in the village of West Town, Hayling Island, Hampshire, England which is run for the people of Hayling Island and surrounding areas. It was converted from the derelict railway goods shed into a 144-seat theatre by Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society (HIADS). The theatre is run entirely by volunteer members for the non-profit making Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society who put on around six shows a year, including a pantomime, and one show performed by HIYA an affiliated group of young actors. The theatre also hosts both professional and amateur visiting groups from on and off the island. The Station Theatre is equipped with modern lighting and sound systems, has stepped seating for 144, a licensed bar, a coffee bar, wheelchair access, hearing loop and free car parking.

Hayling Island Lifeboat Station is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution station located on Hayling Island close to the town of Mengham in the English county of Hampshire. The station is located on the eastern side of Hayling island at the entrance to Chichester Harbour where it joins the major shipping route of the Solent, and is opposite the village of West Wittering. This major shipping route is busy at all times of the year and there are estimated to be 10,000 boats in the Chichester area alone. The Hayling Island station provides cover for the area 24 hours a day, all year, by means of two inshore rigid inflatable lifeboats placed on this station.
