Warren is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The 2010 census places the city's population at 134,056, making Warren the largest city in Macomb County, the third largest city in Michigan, and Metro Detroit's largest suburb. The city is home to a wide variety of businesses, including General Motors Technical Center, the United States Army Detroit Arsenal, home of the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command and the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), the headquarters of Big Boy Restaurants International, and Asset Acceptance. The current mayor is James R. Fouts, who was elected to his first mayoral term in November 2007.
Paul K. Cousino Senior High School is a public secondary school located in Warren, Michigan. It lies on Hoover Road, just south of 13 Mile Road. Part of the Warren Consolidated Schools district, it serves the north Warren area and parts of southern Sterling Heights.
Lincoln High School is a public high school located in Warren, Michigan, United States. It is the only high school in Van Dyke Public Schools, which serves portions of Warren and a small section of Center Line. In the 2009–2010 school year, it had about 920 enrolled students and in the 2015–2016 school year it had 702 students with a ratio of 17.89 students to a teacher.
The Warren Township District No. 4 School, also known as the Bunert School, is a one-room schoolhouse building located at 27900 Bunert Road in Warren, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1989. It is the last one-room schoolhouse remaining in Warren.
Warren Woods Tower High School, commonly referred to as Tower, is a public high school in Warren, Michigan which educates students in grades 9–12. It is a part of the Warren Woods Public Schools school district. As of 2008, Mike Mackenzie is the school principal. Its athletic teams are known as the Titans, and the school colors are Honolulu Blue and Silver. The school is the result of the 1983 merger of Robert S. Tower and Warren Woods High Schools. Robert S. Tower was Superintendent of the Warren Woods School District in the 1960s and early 1970s. Tower's athletic teams during the beginning until 1983 were known as the Vikings.
Warren Mott High School (WMHS, commonly referred to as Mott) is a public high school in Warren, Michigan, United States. It is part of the Warren Consolidated Schools district.
The Macomb Sports and Expo Center is a 2,800-seat indoor arena and convention center located in Warren, Michigan, on the South Campus of Macomb Community College. It is used for the college's athletic programs, trade shows and conventions (The arena features 61,440 square feet (5,708 m2) of floor space) and other special events.
De La Salle Collegiate High School is an all-boys Catholic high school run by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. Founded in 1926, the school was located on the east side of Detroit before moving to its current location in Warren, Michigan, in 1982.
