Wyoming County is a county in the U.S. state of New York in the state's western area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 42,155. The county seat is Warsaw. The name is modified from a Lenape (Delaware) Native American word meaning "broad bottom lands". Wyoming County was formed from Genesee County in 1841. Wyoming County is one of New York's mostly agricultural counties. With an estimated 47,500 dairy cows in the county, there are more cattle in Wyoming County than people.

Attica Correctional Facility is a maximum security campus New York State prison in the town of Attica, New York, operated by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. It was constructed in the 1930s and held many of the most dangerous criminals of the time. A CS gas system (chlorobenzylidine malononitrile) installed in the mess hall and industry areas has been used to quell conflicts in these areas. The prison now holds many inmates who are serving various types of sentences (short-term to life), and who are usually sent to the facility because of disciplinary problems in other facilities.

The Carpenter Gothic style frame church was built in 1853-1854 and closely follows the plan and elevations of a country church published by Richard Upjohn (1802–1878) in his book Upjohn's Rural Architecture (1852). Upjohn's connection with the design of the church has been confirmed by a letter dated December 30, 1853.

It is the third bridge at this location: the original timber bridge burned in 1875 and was replaced by an iron bridge, which lasted until 2017.
