Southern Cross Campus (Te Kura Taki o Autahi) is a composite school that caters for students in Years 1-13 in the suburb of Mangere East in Auckland, New Zealand. The school (also referred to as 'SCC', 'The Campus' or 'The Cross') has deep ties to the Mangere East community by providing education, facilities, and programmes for the wider use of the whole school. It is a Māori and Pacific Islands ethnic school, with students of European (Pākehā), Asian, and other ethnicities as a 0.5% minority.

Māngere Mountain is a volcanic cone in Mangere, Auckland. Located within Māngere Domain, it is one of the largest volcanic cones in the Auckland volcanic field, with a peak 106 metres (348 ft) above sea level. It was the site of a major pā (Māori fortified settlement) and many of the pā's earthworks are still visible. It has extensive panoramic views of Auckland from its location in the southeastern portion of the city's urban area. It is also known as Te Pane o Mataoho.

Pukeiti is one of the volcanoes in the Auckland volcanic field. The spatter cone is the smallest volcano in Auckland, reaching 30 metres (98 ft) above sea level, and has a shallow crater over 30 metres (98 ft) wide. The crater rim was quarried on the south and east side. Extensive lava poured out from this vent to form a lava flow field to the north and east. It is now part of the Otuataua Stonefields reserve.

The Island is 5 km from the Auckland Airport and 10 km from Auckland CBD (as the crow flies). It can be visible from One Tree Hill. The land area is approx. 3288 square meters. This is one of the smallest privately owned Islands in New Zealand.
