Kelston Girls’ College (KGC) is a single-sex girls state secondary school in Kelston, a suburb in the Waitakere region of Auckland, New Zealand. It was created in 1963 when the roll of Kelston High School (formed in 1954) became too large for the site on the corner of Archibald and Great North Roads. The boys moved to a new site further down Archibald Road and the original site became the home of Kelston Girls’ High School (now Kelston Girls' College).
Auckland International College is an independent coeducational secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand. The primary focus of AIC is academic excellence. It adopts the IB Diploma Programme as its sole curriculum. It also offers a Preparation Year Programme for IB Diploma course (Year 11) to allow students to prepare for the IB curriculum. The school runs with a Northern Hemisphere timetable, as the school year commences in July, and students sit their final IB examinations in May. Since January 2018, AIC also offers a six-month course running from January to June for international students whose English is not at a high enough level to embark on the Year 11 Preparation Year Programme. Motumānawa / Pollen Island is an island in the Waitematā Harbour, very near the northern end of Rosebank Peninsula, in Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of two islands surrounded by the Motu Manawa (Pollen Island) Marine Reserve, the other being Traherne Island. The 500 hectares (1.9 sq mi) marine reserve was established in 1995. The official name of the island was changed from Pollen Island and gazetted as Motumānawa / Pollen Island on 12 November 2015.
Rosebank (or the Rosebank Peninsula) is a peninsula and industrial suburb of Auckland City, New Zealand, forming the westernmost part of the city at the edge to Waitakere City, and jutting out into the Waitemata Harbour. The peninsula runs from the southeast in a northerly direction, with the Whau River on its west. Motu Manawa-Pollen Island Marine Reserve is a 501 hectares (1.93 sq mi) protected area in the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand, established in 1995. It includes the entire area between Rosebank Peninsula and Waterview, and surrounds Pollen and Traherne Islands. Its northeastern boundary runs roughly parallel to Rosebank Peninsula, from the mouth of the Oakley Creek estuary. Its northernmost boundary is north of Pollen Island, at the same latitude as the tip of Point Chevalier. Its westernmost point is in the mouth of the Whau River, between the tip of Rosebank Peninsula and Te Atatū.
