Onondaga language (Onoñdaʼgegáʼ nigaweñoʼdeñʼ, IPA: [onũdaʔɡeɡáʔ niɡawẽnoʔdẽʔ], literally "Onondaga is our language") is the language of the Onondaga First Nation, one of the original five constituent tribes of the League of the Iroquois (Haudenosaunee).

Cortland West is a census-designated place and region in Cortland County, New York, United States. The population was 1,356 at the 2010 census.

First Presbyterian Church, also known as Preble Congregational Church, is a historic Presbyterian church located at Preble in Cortland County, New York. It was built in about 1831 as a conventional meetinghouse in the Federal style. It was moved to its present location in 1859, renovated in the Gothic Revival style in 1865, and thoroughly remodeled again in 1923 to the present Colonial Revival style. The two stage bell tower dates to 1831. The interior features furnishings by Gustav Stickley and stained glass by Henry Keck.

The Cortland Enlarged City School District is a public school district in Cortland, New York. The district consists of 6 schools and with a total enrollment of approximately 2,800 students. The Cortland City District includes the city of Cortland, the town of Virgil, and part of the town of Cortlandville.

Glen Haven District No. 4 School and Public Library is a historic school and library building located at Fair Haven in Cortland County, New York. It is a one-story irregularly shaped structure constructed in 1901 in the Shingle Style. It contains the classroom on the south end and the library on the north end. It features a hipped roof with boxed eave overhangs.

Hatheway Homestead, also known as Tinelli's Hathaway House, is a historic home located at Solon in Cortland County, New York. It consists of a 2+1⁄2-story main block built in 1844, with a later 2-story wing addition, in the Greek Revival style. It was built by Major General Samuel G. Hathaway (1790–1867). The main block is constructed of smooth-surfaced fieldstone and wing of random ashlar stone blocks. The main block features a distinctive parapet of alternating balustrade and panels. It was later converted for use as a restaurant.

Cortland County Poor Farm, also known as County Farm, is a historic poor farm complex located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. The complex consists of 13 well preserved vernacular buildings, a concrete block piggery, and several frame outbuildings sheathed in clapboard or board and batten siding. The county purchased the original farm in 1836.

The Campus Center Hockey Arena is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose ice arena located in Cortland, New York on the campus of SUNY Cortland. The arena is also the home to the Cortland Red Dragons Men's and Women's ice hockey teams competing at the NCAA Division III level in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). As well as a men's club team competing at the ACHA Division I level in the Northeast Collegiate Hockey League, SUNY Cortland Figure Skating Club, intramural hockey, and broomball. And for recreation ice skating and figure skating.

Cortland Fire Headquarters is a historic fire station located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It is a three-story, predominantly rectangular structure, consisting of stepped gables, square bell tower, yellow faced brick, and tiled roof, built in 1914. The first floor houses fire apparatus, the second serves as quarters for firefighters, and the third is a meeting hall and training area, as well as the home for the special operations division.

First Presbyterian Church Complex, also known as United Presbyterian Church, is a historic Presbyterian church located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1889-1890 and is a solid massed masonry building consisting of a central hip-roofed main block fronted by steeply pitched gable projections. Major additions to the original church were completed in 1922 and 1958. The church features a stout, multi stage bell tower with a tall steeple and prominent cross on the spire. Also on the property is a Queen Anne style manse completed in 1903.

Stage Coach Inn, also known as Royal Johnson House, is a historic inn located at Lapeer in Cortland County, New York. It was built about 1830 and is a two-story, rectangular five bay center entrance frame building. It features a full Greek Revival style entrance with pilasters, a full entablature, and two-paneled door with sidelights. It served as a home, hostelry for stage coach travelers, a post office, as well as a dance hall. The second floor dance hall remains intact. It remained in the Johnson family from the time of its construction to the early 21st century.

Taylor Center Methodist Episcopal Church and Taylor District No. 3 School is a historic Methodist Episcopal church and former one-room school located at Taylor Center in Cortland County, New York, United States. The church, also known as Second Methodist Episcopal Church of Taylor, the Solon Pond Church, and the Christian Community Church of Solon Pond, was constructed about 1870. It is a one-story, white clapboard building measuring 30 feet by 40 feet. It has a gable roof and small wing. The interior is laid out in the Akron Plan style. The school is included in the nomination to the register, but it is non-contributing.

WXHC (101.5 FM, "X101") is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format. Licensed to Homer, New York, United States, the station is owned by Eves Broadcasting, Inc. and features programming from ABC News Radio.

Water, Wall, and Pine Streets Lenticular Truss Bridges is a national historic district and set of Lenticular truss bridges located at Homer in Cortland County, New York. The district includes a series of three bridges built in 1881 over the Tioughnioga River by the Corrugated Metal Co. of East Berlin, Connecticut.

Main Street Historic District is a national historic district located at McGraw in Cortland County, New York. The district includes 33 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing structure.

Virgil is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Virgil, Cortland County, New York, United States. The CDP was designated after the 2010 census, so no population figure is yet available.

Marathon High School is a public high school located in Marathon, Cortland County, New York, U.S.A., and is the only high school operated by the Marathon Central School District.

Presbyterian Church of McGraw is a historic Presbyterian church located at McGraw in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1901 and is a one-story structure, irregular in plan and massing, built of "Canandaigua gold brick". It features a tower that is square in plan at the base, but above the roofline rises in two octagonal stages built of wood with round arched louvered belfry openings and elliptical windows. It is topped by an octagonal spire crowned by a cast metal finial. The interior features an octagonally shaped auditorium and Palladian windows.

Randall Farm is a historic farm and national historic district located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. The district includes six contributing buildings and one contributing structure. It includes a cobblestone farmhouse built between 1825 and 1840 with a distinctive Colonial Revival porch added about 1920. Also on the property is a 1+1⁄2-story frame cottage, a dairy barn, garage, playhouse, carriage barn, smokehouse, saltbox shaped barn, small gabled barn, sugar shack, and milk house. The property also includes distinctive landscape elements.

US Post Office-Cortland is a historic post office building located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1913-1915 and enlarged in 1940–1941. It is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Oscar Wenderoth. It is a one-story building with a brick foundation clad in granite with facades clad in coursed ashlar limestone in the Neoclassical style. The lobby features a wood relief by Ryah Ludins in 1942-1943 titled "Valley of the Seven Hills."

William J. Greenman House is a historic home located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1896, and based on a pattern book plan by architect George Franklin Barber. It is a 2½-story, Queen Anne-style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in clapboard and sits on a stone foundation. It features exuberant wood trim, decorative shingles and half-timbering; a wraparound porch with a circular section topped by a bell-shaped roof; and projecting bay windows. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house.^: 3

Homer Senior High School is a grades 9-12 high school which is part of the Homer Central School District in Homer, New York. The current principal is Douglas VanEtten, and the vice principal is Douglas Pasquerella. The school mascot is a Trojan warrior.

The Lime Hollow Center for Environment and Culture (Lime Hollow) is a nature preserve project in Cortland County, New York. It was founded in 1993 as the Lime Hollow Nature Center, the culmination of efforts 20 years earlier to develop a nature preserve to protect an unusual assemblage of marl ponds, a peat bog, and kame-and-kettle topography along an abandoned railroad right of way in Lime Hollow, just west of the city of Cortland.

Little York Pavilion', also known as Dwyer Memorial County Park, Main Pavilion, is an historic trolley park pavilion located at Preble in Cortland County, New York. It was built about 1906, with later additions and modifications, and is a two-story Stick/Eastlake style structure, rectangular at the core, with surrounding verandahs and a jutting pavilion at each corner. The central hip-roofed section contains a single large room at each level.

The Tarbell Building is a historic commercial building located in the Village of Marathon in Cortland County, New York. It is a three-story brick structure constructed in 1885 in the Queen Anne style. It has retail storefronts on the first floor and apartments and storage on the second and third. A rock-faced foundation pierced with basement windows is exposed on the south side. The Tarbell Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

US Post Office-Homer is a historic post office building located at Homer in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1937-1938 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. It is a one-story, steel frame, five bay rectangular building clad in brick on a stucco clad foundation in the Colonial Revival style. The interior features a mural by Frank Romanelli in 1940 titled "Albany Street Bridge over Tioughnioga River." It is located within the boundaries of the Old Homer Village Historic District.

Near the southern end (the head end) of Skaneateles Lake, the hamlet of Glen Haven is situated in a splendidly scenic valley in the Town of Scott, Cortland County and the Town of Niles, Cayuga County. Nearby Spafford Landing is in the Town of Spafford, Onondaga County. The portion of the community on the eastern shore is known as "Fair Haven," to distinguish it from the western shore portion, known as "Glen Haven." The community provides marina and docking facilities, uncommon on the lake, together with dining and lodging accommodations. Glen Haven has a historic library building, recalling earlier days when a large resort hotel attracted visitors arriving by steamboat.

Old Homer Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Homer in Cortland County, New York. The district includes the historic core of the village of Homer centered on the village green. It includes a mix of residential, commercial, civic, and religious structures. Residences are primarily 2-story frame structures and commercial structures are 2- and 3-story structures constructed of brick. Included within the district is the Homer Town Hall (1908), the 3+1⁄2-story Jebediah Barber building (1863), 3-story Brockway Block (1887–1888), and residences dating to the 1810s. Also located within the district boundaries is the U.S. Post Office (Homer, New York).

Truxton Depot, also known as Lehigh Valley Depot, is a historic railway depot located at Truxton in Cortland County, New York. It was built about 1872 by the Lehigh Valley Railroad. It is a small rectangular, one story structure, 50 feet long and 30 feet wide. The building ceased use as a train station in 1967 and was then used by Agway as a warehouse. In 1991, it was sold to the town of Truxton for $1.00.

Union Valley Congregational Church, also known as Union Valley Community House, is a historic Congregational church located at Taylor in Cortland County, New York. It was built about 1849 and is a modestly scaled, one story meetinghouse building with a mortise and tenon timber frame built on an above grade rubble stone foundation. It is rectangular in shape, three bays wide and three bays deep, in the Greek Revival style with an overlay of Late Victorian elements. It features a stout belfry that risesfrom the crest of the roof.

WYBY is an AM radio station serving the Ithaca market under a religious format. The station, licensed to Cortland, New York, broadcasts on AM frequency 920 kHz and is now a Bible Broadcasting Network Owned-and-operated station.

Tompkins Street–Main Street Historic District, formerly known as Tompkins Street Historic District, is a historic district in Cortland, New York. It encompasses 109 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in the central business district of Cortland and the surrounding residential areas. It includes about 60 commercial buildings built between 1860 and 1910, public buildings such as the separately listed U.S. Post Office, and the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Residences date as early as the 1830s and include mansions from the 1890-1916 period. Most residences are 2 1/2 stories and of frame construction.

Pail Shop Corners is a hamlet located at the corner of Hoke Road, Goose Street, and CR-26 north of Fly Creek in the Town of Otsego, in Otsego County, New York, United States. The Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard is located by Pail Shop Corners.

New York Central College, commonly called New York Central College, McGrawville, and simply Central College, was an abolitionist institution of higher learning founded by Cyrus Pitt Grosvenor and other anti-slavery Baptists in McGraw, New York (at the time called McGrawville; not modern McGrawville, New York). The sponsoring organization was the American Baptist Free Mission Society, of which Grosvenor was a vice-president. It was chartered by New York State in April 1848, laid the cornerstone of its main building on July 4, and opened in September 1849. Its "prominent features" were "Radical Anti-Slavery, and Equality of the Sexes".

Cortland station is a defunct Lehigh Valley Railroad station in Cortland, New York. It was located on the Lehigh Valley's Elmira and Cortland Branch. The station building still stands; the tracks are owned by the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway. Cortland was one of two depots; the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (Lackawanna) depot was located on Railroad Street in the center of the city.
