Petrosains, also known as Petrosains, The Discovery Centre is a Malaysian science and technology museum located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur within Suria KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers. Petrosains was a brainchild of 4th Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and established on 25 March 1999. It is owned and operated by Petrosains Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian oil and gas conglomerate Petronas. Tengku Nasariah Tengku Syed Ibrahim is the CEO of Petrosains until 2018. The current CEO is Fatimah Fedora Zulkifli.

Alam Shah Science School (abbreviated as ASiS; Malay: Sekolah Menengah Sains Alam Shah) is a boarding science secondary school located in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The school was established on 16 June 2003 on the grounds which was formerly Sultan Alam Shah School in which the latter was relocated to Putrajaya.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is one of the six confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. The Grand Hyatt Duta is an unfinished skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 1994, the Hyatt Group awarded a contract to develop the RM570 million Duta Grand Hyatt project. The project was targeted for completion in 1997. However, due to the 1997 Asian financial crisis, the developer suffered financial difficulties, which led to the halting of construction in July 1998, and the project remains abandoned until the government give a command to rebuild this hotel back.

The Cheras War Cemetery (Malay: Tanah Perkuburan Perang Cheras) is the final resting place for Allied personnel who were killed during World War II, particularly the Malayan Campaign and the Japanese occupation of Malaya. Servicemen who died after the war or during their posting in northern Malaya prior to the Malayan Emergency are also interred here.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), formed in 1964, is a non-profit, professional association of broadcasting organisations. Saidina Uthman Bin Affan Mosque is a mosque in Bandar Tun Razak near Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This mosque was opened on 1988 by the eighth Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Iskandar of Johor. It was named after Muhammad's third Caliph (successor), Uthman Bin Affan.

The Penchala Tunnel is the widest highway tunnel in Malaysia. This 700-metre tunnel, located on the Sprint Expressway's Penchala Link, connects Sungai Penchala to Mont Kiara in the Klang Valley. Unlike other highway tunnels in Malaysia which used tunnel boring machines during construction, the Penchala Tunnel was bored by using the slower rock-explosion method, due to unstable rock condition (limestones) at the tunnel site which prevented the concessionaire company Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (Sprint) to use the faster tunnel boring machine method.

The Pudu Prison (Malay: Penjara Pudu, simplified Chinese: 半山芭监狱; traditional Chinese: 半山芭監獄; pinyin: Bànshānbā Jiānyù) was a prison in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Built in phases by the British colonial government between 1891 and 1895, it stood on Jalan Shaw (now Jalan Hang Tuah). The construction began with its 394-metre prison wall at a cost of Straits $16,000, and had been adorned with the world's longest mural at one point in its history. The cells were small and dark, each equipped with a window only the size of a shoebox. As of December 2012, the prison complex was largely demolished, leaving only the main gate and a portion of the exterior wall still standing.

The Federated Malay States (FMS) was a federation of four protected states in the Malay Peninsula—Selangor, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang—established by the British government in 1896, which lasted until 1946, when they, together with two of the former Straits Settlements (Malacca and Penang) and the Unfederated Malay States, formed the Malayan Union. Two years later, the Union became the Federation of Malaya, which achieved independence in 1957, and finally Malaysia in 1963 with the inclusion of North Borneo (present-day Sabah), Sarawak and Singapore.

The Kuala Lumpur railway station is a railway station located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Completed in 1910 to replace an older station on the same site, the station was Kuala Lumpur's railway hub in the city for the Federated Malay States Railways and its successor Keretapi Tanah Melayu (English: Malayan Railways), before Kuala Lumpur Sentral assumed much of its role in 2001. Bukit Nanas, meaning "Pineapple Hill" (Weld Hill during colonial rule), is a small hill in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It contains the only virgin tropical rain forest left in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is located here, and is open to the public. There are jungle trails, a visitors centre, and a forestry museum.

Merdeka Square (Malay: Dataran Merdeka) is a square located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Literally Independence Square, it was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the "Padang" (meaning "field" in Malay) and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now the Royal Selangor Club). It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time at midnight (time: 12:00 AM) on 31 August 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the usual venue for the annual Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).

The Makam Pahlawan (Malay for Heroes' Mausoleum) is the burial ground of several Malaysian leaders and politicians. It is located near the Malaysian national mosque, Masjid Negara in the national capital, Kuala Lumpur. Construction of the mausoleum began in 1963 under its project of the construction of Masjid Negara and was completed in 1965.

Setapak is a mukim in Gombak District, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Formerly a tin-mining and rubber-growing area, in Malay tapak means 'step' so Setapak means 'one step', probably referring to the close proximity of the suburb to Kuala Lumpur. Another explanation of the origin of its name traces to its historical roots.

The Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (English: Malaysian People's Movement Party, commonly abbreviated as GERAKAN or less commonly as PGRM) is a political party of Malaysia. The party was founded on 24 March 1968, and is one of the former constituents of the Barisan Nasional coalition. During its formation, Gerakan was an opposition party not affiliated with the national ruling coalition, the Alliance Party, the predecessor of the Barisan Nasional (BN). Following the 1969 general election, Gerakan won most of the seats in the state legislature of Penang. However, in 1972 Gerakan joined the Alliance Party which later became the coalition Barisan Nasional, where it remained until June 2018. In 2006, about 80% of Gerakan's members are ethnic Chinese, another 15% are Indian, and the rest are Malays or other races. The party is assisted by an affiliated think tank called SEDAR Institute (Socio-Economic Development And Research Institute). The party is a member of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats. Following the fall of BN in the 2018 general election and in the aftermath of four Sarawak-based BN coalition parties leaving the coalition on 12 June 2018, Gerakan also left the coalition on 23 June 2018. On 11 February 2021, the party officially joined the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.

The Federation of Malaya (Malay: Persekutuan Tanah Melayu; Jawi: ڤرسكوتوان تانه ملايو) was a federation of what previously had been British Malaya comprising eleven states (nine Malay states and two of the British Straits Settlements, Penang and Malacca) that existed from 1 February 1948 until 16 September 1963. Jamek Mosque, officially Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque (Malay: Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad) is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak River and may be accessed via Jalan Tun Perak. The mosque was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, and built in 1909.
