Abisko naturvetenskapliga station (ANS) är en forskningsstation belägen omkring 20 mil norr om polcirkeln vid Abisko nationalpark i Kiruna kommun, nordvästra Lappland. Stationen bedriver ekologisk, geologisk, geomorfologisk och meteorologisk forskning i subarktiska miljöer och besöks varje år av 500–600 forskare från hela världen. Här finns unika samlingar av miljödata från drygt 100 års verksamhet och dokumentation i form av fler än 3 000 vetenskapliga publikationer med anknytning till Abiskoområdet.
La Base de recherche scientifique d'Abisko (ou ANS pour Abisko naturvetenskapliga station en suédois) est une station de recherche suédoise gérée par le Secrétariat suédois de recherche polaire. Elle est située sur la rive sud du Lac Torneträsk, à la frontière du Parc national d'Abisko. Des études sur les environnements subarctiques en écologie, géologie, géomorphologie et météorologie sont menées à partir de la station, avec chaque année près de 500 visiteurs à des fins scientifiques. Les conditions climatiques, géologiques et topographiques variées de la région en font l'habitat d'une flore et d'une faune variées. Ces caractéristiques ont participé à l'obtention du statut de Parc National, et en font également un lieu important pour la recherche scientifique, en particulier des écosystèmes alpins et subalpins.
The Abisko Scientific Research Station (ANS) is a field research station managed by the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. Situated on the south shore of Lake Torneträsk, it lies at the edge of the Abisko National Park. The station conducts ecological, geological, geomorphological and meteorological research in subarctic environments and each year about 500 scientists visit from all over the world. The varied geological, topographical and climatic conditions of the area allow it to be inhabited by a range of flora and fauna. These features, which have caused the area to be given National Park status, also make it an important place for scientific research, particularly of alpine and subalpine ecosystems.
