南都焼討（なんとやきうち）は、治承4年12月28日（1181年1月15日）に平清盛の命を受けた平重衡ら平氏軍が、東大寺・興福寺など奈良（南都）の仏教寺院を焼討にした事件。平氏政権に反抗的な態度を取り続けるこれらの寺社勢力に属する大衆（だいしゅ）の討伐を目的としており、治承・寿永の乱と呼ばれる一連の戦役の1つである。
The siege of Nara (南都焼討, Nantō Yakiuchi) alternatively known as the Nanto Arson Campaign in Japan is an event which took place on January 15th 1181 (December 28th 1180 in the Jishō calendar), following Prince Mochihito and Minamoto no Yorimasa's defeat and subsequent death to the Taira clan, after which the Taira forces burnt down the Miidera temple (which had sheltered the anti-Taira forces), before moving on to Nara, where they "set fire to the monastic complexes of Kōfuku-ji and Tōdai-ji."
南都燒討（南都焼討），是日本平安時代末期治承4年（1181年）平重衡等平氏軍受平清盛之命，攻打東大寺、興福寺等奈良（南都）的佛教寺院之事件。目的是討伐對平氏政權採取反抗態度的寺社勢力所屬的大眾（だいしゅ），治承、壽永之亂的戰役之一。
Après la bataille d'Uji du 23 juin 1180, durant laquelle Minamoto no Yorimasa avait affronté une petite armée Taira avec l'aide des moines du Mii-dera et d'autres temples, les Taira, victorieux mais furieux d'avoir été affrontés, décidèrent de donner l'assaut et brûler le Mii-dera, avant de se rendre à l'ancienne capitale Nara. Les Taira furent alors affrontés par des moines guerriers de presque tous les principaux monastères et temples de Nara. Taira no Shigehira et Tomomori, deux fils du chef du clan Taira, Kiyomori, commandèrent le siège.
