The Bedesten of Thessaloniki (Greek: Μπεζεστένι Θεσσαλονίκης) is a historical Ottoman market in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece, built during the reign of Sultan Mehmed II (in around 1455–1459). It is located on Venizelou and Solomou streets, near the Hamza Bey Mosque and the city's old town hall. A bedesten is a type of Ottoman old market, and is derived from the Arabic word bez meaning fabric.
Το Μπεζεστένι της Θεσσαλονίκης, είναι ένα οθωμανικό μνημείο το οποίο κτίστηκε επί Σουλτάνου Μεχμέτ Β' (1455-1459). Βρίσκεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη στη συμβολή των οδών Βενιζέλου και Σολωμού, απέναντι από το Αλκαζάρ και το παλιό δημαρχείο της πόλης. Η λέξη ετυμολογείται από την τουρκική λέξη bezesten που σημαίνει αρχαιοπωλείο και προέρχεται από την αραβική λέξη bez που σημαίνει ύφασμα.
Солунският безистен (на гръцки: Μπεζεστένι Θεσσαλονίκης) е османска търговска постройка, безистен, от XV век в град Солун, Гърция. Намира се на кръстовището на улица „Венизелос“ и улица „Соломос“, срещу Хамза бей джамия и старото кметство. Днес безистенът продължава да помещава малки магазини, предимно за дрехи.
Das Besistan von Thessaloniki (griechisch Μπεζεστένι Θεσσαλονίκης Bezesténi Thessalonikis) ist ein historisches osmanisches Marktgebäude in der Stadt Thessaloniki, Griechenland, das während der Herrschaft von Sultan Mehmed II. (um 1455–1459) erbaut wurde. Es befindet sich in der Innenstadt an der Venizelou- und Solomou-Straße, in der Nähe der Hamza-Bey-Moschee und des alten Rathauses der Stadt. Besistane waren im Osmanischen Reich überdachte, in der Nacht verschlossene und bewachte, teilweise mehrstöckige Handelszentren. Der Name leitet sich vom türkischen Wort bez ab, das Stoff bedeutet.
