Provata (Greek: Προβάτα) is an area of Mount Athos that belongs to the Monastery of Great Lavra. It is close to the Monastery of Karakallou. This is where many people place the Skete of Glossia, which flourished in the 14th century. Gregory Palamas lived in this skete in the 14th century.

Η Προβάτα είναι περιοχή του Αγίου Όρους που υπάγεται στη Μονή Μεγίστης Λαύρας και όπου βρίσκονται κελιά της. Είναι κοντά στη Μονή Καρακάλλου. Εδώ τοποθετούν πολλοί τη Σκήτη της Γλωσσίας που ήκμασε το 14ο αιώνα. Στην σκήτη αυτή έζησε τον 14ο αιώνα και ο Γρηγόριος ο Παλαμάς.
