Muden is a township on the Mooi River, 24 km northwest of Greytown and 38 km south-east of Weenen. It was established by the missionary Reverend Heinrich Röttcher and named after Müden in Hanover, Germany, whence he came.

Muden is 'n klein dorpie sentraal in KwaZulu-Natal, Suid-Afrika. Die dorpie lê aan die Mooirivier en is 38 km oos van Weenen. Die dorpie is gestig deur eerwaarde Heinrich Röttcher wat in 1862 in Suid-Afrika aangekom het. Hy het die sendingstasie na sy geboortedorp Mueden in Duitsland vernoem.
