SS Galeka was a steam ship built in 1899 for the Union-Castle Mail Steamship Company by Harland and Wolff. She was launched on 21 October 1899 and completed on 23 December 1899. Later she was requisitioned for use as a British troop transport and then a hospital ship during the First World War. On 28 October 1916 she struck a mine laid by the German U-boat UC-26.

Die Galeka war ein 1900 in Dienst gestellter Passagierdampfer, der von der britischen Reederei Union-Castle Line im Passagier- und Postverkehr zwischen Großbritannien und Südafrika eingesetzt wurde. Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente das Schiff als HMHS Galeka (His Majesty's Hospital Ship) als Hospitalschiff, bis es am 28. Oktober 1916 bei La Hague auf eine deutsche Seemine lief und strandete. Sie war das erste Schiff der Union-Castle Line, das im Krieg verloren ging.

Galeka – statek, wodowany 21 października 1899. W czasie I wojny światowej został przekształcony w statek szpitalny. 28 października 1916 niedaleko portu Hawr wszedł na minę postawioną przez niemiecki okręt podwodny SM UC-26. W wyniku eksplozji zginęło 19 osób z personelu medycznego. Statek sztrandował, lecz uznano za niewart naprawy.
