Mtunzini is 'n kusdorpie aan die N2-nasionale pad ongeveer 140 km noord van Durban in KwaZulu-Natal. Dit lê een uur per motor van Hluhluwe-Imfolozipark en iSimangaliso-vleilandpark. Dit is gewild by binnelanders oor die skoolvakansies, veral as gevolg van matige temperature tydens die wintermaande. Die naam is afgelei van ’n Zoeloe-woord wat “in die skadu” beteken.
