Bristol City Women's Football Club is a women's association football team from the city of Bristol. Formed in 1998 as Bristol Rovers W.F.C., they were renamed Bristol Academy W.F.C. in 2005 following the withdraw of support from Bristol Rovers and increased involvement and academy development from Bristol Academy of Sport (now SGS Sport), part of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. A second change of name, this time to Bristol City was approved by the FA Women's Football Board in time for the 2016 WSL season. With their home games relocating from SGS College’s Stoke Gifford Stadium to the Robins High Performance Centre and now Ashton Gate Stadium. Bristol City Women won promotion to the FA Women's Super League (WSL), the highest level of the women's game in England in 2016 and stayed there for five seasons before being relegated to the FA Women's Championship in 2021.

Bristol City Women’s Football Club ist ein professioneller Frauenfußballverein aus der englischen Großstadt Bristol, gelegen im Südwesten Englands, in der Nähe der englisch-walisischen Grenze im Vereinigten Königreich. Zur Saison 2021/22 tritt der Verein in der zweiten englischen Liga, der FA Women’s Championship an, nachdem man in der Saison 2020/21 aus dem englischen Oberhaus abgestiegen war. Gegründet wurde der Verein 1998 als Bristol Rovers WFC, dem eigentlichen Rivalen des Stammvereins Bristol City. Eine Namensänderung führte zu Bristol Academy W.F.C. im Jahre 2005 durch die wachsende Involvierung der Bristol Academy of Sport, heute Teil des South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, damals noch Filton College. 2016 erfolgte schließlich die zweite Umbenennung zum heutigen Namen Bristol City Women’s Football Club. Ausgetragen werden die Heimspiele in der Heimstätte des Bath City, dem Twerton Park in Bath. Bis zum Abstieg 2021 aus der ersten englischen Profiliga spielte man ab 2016 fünf Jahre in der FA Women’s Super League.
