The Second Battle of Huachi was a confrontation that occurred on 12 September 1821 between pro-independence troops led by General Antonio José de Sucre and Royalist troops led by General Melchor Aymerich, president of the Real Audiencia of Quito. Sucre, after having won the Battle of Yaguachi on 19 August, advanced towards Quito. The Spanish, who followed closely, positioned themselves to do battle in a field called Huachi, where they had already defeated Guayaquil forces a year before.
La Segunda batalla de Huachi fue un enfrentamiento ocurrido el 12 de septiembre de 1821 entre tropas independentistas lideradas por el general Antonio José de Sucre y las tropas realistas lideradas por el general Melchor Aymerich, presidente de la Audiencia de Quito. Sucre tras haber vencido en Yaguachi avanzaba hacia Quito, los españoles quienes los seguían de cerca, se posicionaron en un terreno llamado Huachi donde ya habían derrotado a fuerzas guayaquileñas un año atrás.
La seconde bataille de Huachi est un affrontement militaire qui eut lieu le près de Quito entre les troupes indépendantistes commandées par Antonio José de Sucre et les troupes royalistes menées par Melchor de Aymerich dans le cadre des guerres d'indépendance en Amérique du Sud.
