Kommandantenhaus (Q323181)

Das Kommandantenhaus (auch Alte Kommandantur) ist ein Bauwerk an der Prachtstraße Unter den Linden 1 im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte und Teil des Forum Fridericianum. Es wurde in den Jahren 1653 bis 1654 von Johann Gregor Memhardt errichtet und zuletzt 1873 bis 1874 im Stil der Neorenaissance umgebaut. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg ausgebrannt und 1950 abgerissen, wurde es 2001 bis 2003 wiederaufgebaut. Seitdem beheimatet das Kommandantenhaus die Repräsentanz von Bertelsmann.

The Kommandantenhaus (Commandant's House), also called Alte Kommandantur (Old Commandantura), on Unter den Linden boulevard in the historic centre of Berlin is the former headquarter of the city's commandant. It was built in 1654 and renovated from 1873 to 1874 in Renaissance Revival style. Damaged during the Allied bombing in World War II and later demolished, it was rebuilt from 2001 to 2003 as part of the Forum Fridericianum. Since then, it has been home to a representative office of Bertelsmann. The Kommandantenhaus was the workplace of the French writer Stendhal, the German politician Otto Wels and the German Resistance member Paul von Hase.

L’Alte Kommandantur (« Ancien Commandement ») est un bâtiment situé dans le cœur historique de la ville de Berlin sur l'avenue Unter den Linden, n^o 1, à côté du palais du Kronprinz et face au Musée historique allemand. Édifiée au XVII^e siècle, elle était le siège de l'administration militaire berlinoise. Les bombardements pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale endommagèrent gravement le bâtiment qui fut démoli en 1950.
