Tweeling (meaning twin in Dutch and Afrikaans) is a small town situated 22 km from Frankfort in the Free State province of South Africa. The adjacent township is named Mafahlaneng , or "place of twins". This region of the highveld is colloquially known as the Riemland, recalling a time when it was a favoured hunting ground of the early pioneers.

Die dorp Tweeling in die Oos-Vrystaat is tussen Reitz en Frankfort in die Riemland geleë. Die dorp se swart woonbuurt Mafahlaneng, beteken insgelyk "plek van die tweeling". Tweeling is in 1918 gestig op die plase Tweelingspruit en Tweelingkop, en die dorp se naam verwys na twee eenderse koppies in die area. Naby die dorp is die historiese Geloftefeesterrein. Die NG-gemeente het in 1926 van drie aanliggende gemeentes afgestig.
