The battle of Kakamas took place in Kakamas, Northern Cape Province of South Africa on 4 February 1915. It was a skirmish for control of two river fords over the Orange River between contingents of a German invasion force and South African armed forces. The South Africans succeed in preventing the Germans gaining control of the fords and crossing the river.

Die Slag van Kakamas het op 4 Februarie 1915 in Kakamas, Noord-Kaap Provinsie van Suid-Afrika,tydens die Eerste Wêreldoorlog plaasgevind. Dit was 'n skermutseling vir die beheer van twee rivierponte oor die Oranjerivier tussen kontingente van 'n Duitse invalsmag en Suid-Afrikaanse weermag. Die Suid-Afrikaners slaag daarin om te keer dat die Duitsers beheer oor die ponte te kry en die rivier oor te steek.
