Brunot Island (also spelled Brunot's Island) is a 129-acre (52 ha) island in the Ohio River. It is officially part of the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in the United States. It was named for Dr. Felix Brunot who settled the island with his extended family in the late 1700s. The family entertained the Lewis and Clark Expedition on the island in August 1803. The island is home to the Brunot Island Generating Station, a 315 MW fossil fuel power plant.
Isla Brunot (en inglés: Brunot Island)[1] es una isla de 129 acres (0,52 km²) en el río Ohio en el extremo oeste de Pittsburgh en el condado de Allegheny, en el estado de Pensilvania en los Estados Unidos. Fue nombrado en honor del Dr. Felix Brunot que se estableció en la isla con su familia a finales del año 1700.[2] La familia permitió la expedición Lewis y Clark recalar en la isla en agosto de 1803.
