Dahn ist eine Stadt im Landkreis Südwestpfalz (Rheinland-Pfalz) und – gemessen an der Einwohnerzahl – dessen drittgrößte Ortsgemeinde. Sie ist Verwaltungssitz der Verbandsgemeinde Dahner Felsenland, innerhalb derer sie sowohl hinsichtlich der Zahl der Einwohner als auch hinsichtlich der Fläche die größte Ortsgemeinde darstellt. Dahn ist ein staatlich anerkannter Luftkurort und gemäß Landesplanung als Mittelzentrum ausgewiesen.
