The Dhaka University Library is the central library of the University of Dhaka which started in 1921 with a collection of eighteen thousand books received from Dhaka College and Law College. The Library now has over six lakh eighty thousand (680,000) books and journals. Moreover, it has around thirty thousand rare manuscripts. Dhaka University Library is the largest in the country.
ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গ্রন্থাগার, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রন্থাগার। এটি বাংলাদেশের সর্ববৃহৎ গ্রন্থাগার। গ্রন্থাগারটি ১৯২১ সালের ১ জুলাই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠালগ্নেই ঢাকা কলেজ ও ল কলেজ থেকে প্রাপ্ত প্রায় আঠারো হাজার বইয়ের সংগ্রহ নিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করে। বর্তমানে এখানে প্রায় ৯ লক্ষ বই এবং জার্নালের সংগ্রহ রয়েছে। এছাড়াও, এখানে প্রায় ত্রিশ হাজারের মত বিরল পাণ্ডুলিপি রয়েছে।
