Golden Gate Highlands National Park is located in Free State, South Africa, near the Lesotho border. It covers an area of 340 km2 (130 sq mi). The park's most notable features are its golden, ochre, and orange-hued, deeply eroded sandstone cliffs and outcrops, especially the Brandwag rock. Another feature of the area is the numerous caves and shelters displaying San rock paintings. Wildlife featured at the park includes mongooses, eland, zebras, and over 100 bird species. It is the Free State's only national park and is more famous for the beauty of its landscape than for its wildlife. Numerous palaeontology finds have been made in the park, including dinosaur eggs and skeletons.

Het Nationaal park Golden Gate Hoogland is een Zuid-Afrikaans wildpark, gelegen in het Oost-Vrijstaatse bergland. Het park huisvest verschillende soorten, zoals het zwart wildebeest, de eland, springbok, blesbok en de steppezebra. Het park is vernoemd naar de gouden kleur die de zandstenen rotsen aannemen als de zon erop schijnt. De meest bekende rots is de Brandwagrots.

Die Golden Gate-Hoogland- Nasionale Park is geleë in die Oos-Vrystaatse bergland; dit lê aan die voetheuwels van die Malutiberge. Die park is op 13 September 1963 geproklameer en in November 2008 tot 34 000 ha vergroot deur die insluiting van die voormalige QwaQwa Nasionale Park. Die hoogte van die park wissel van 1 892 m tot 2 770 m bo seevlak. Aan die suide van park is die Monantsapas op die grens met Lesotho. Die Caledonrivier ontspring naby die pas.
