The Makelaria Monastery (Greek: Ιερά Μονή Κοιμήσεως Θεοτόκου Μακελαριάς) is a 6th-century Eastern Orthodox monastery located in the Peloponnese, Greece. It lies on a big rock near the villages of Lapanagoi, at a distance of 30 km from the town of Kalavryta. The monastery, one of the oldest in Greece, was founded in 532 AD and is dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos

Η Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Μακελλαριάς Καλαβρύτων βρίσκεται στην ορεινή Αχαΐα, στο βορειοδυτικό τμήμα του Δήμου Καλαβρύτων, νοτίως του χωριού των Λαπαναγών, πάνω σε ένα γυμνό και απότομο βράχο, και σε απόσταση 30 χιλιομέτρων περίπου από την πόλη των Καλαβρύτων. Εορτάζει δύο φορές τον χρόνο, στις 14 Σεπτεμβρίου, ανήμερα της εορτής της Υψώσεως του Τίμιου Σταυρού, και πιο πανηγυρικά στις 15 Αυγούστου, ανήμερα της Κοίμησης της Θεοτόκου (Δεκαπενταύγουστος).

Макеларският манастир или Манастирът „Макелария“ е един от най-старите в Гърция. Намира се на 30 километра от град Калаврита и е един от четирите в околността. Първоначално е посветен на Успение Богородично. Първоначалното име на манастира е „Света Богородица Скална“, защото е построен върху скала. Името „Макелария“ е дадено на манастира през 1458 г. при османското завоевание.
