Norvalspont is a small town in Pixley ka Seme District Municipality in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The name is Afrikaans for Norval’s ferry, and named after an enterprising Scot who constructed a ferry here in 1848. The settlement lies some 40 km east-north-east of Colesberg and 43 km west-north-west of Venterstad, on the southern bank of the Orange River, just below the Gariep Dam.

Norvalspont is een dorpje gelegen in de gemeente Umsobomvu in de Zuid-Afrikaanse provincie Noord-Kaap. Het ligt ongeveer 40 km oost-noord-oost van Colesberg en 43 km west-noord-west van Venterstad op de zuidelijke oever van de Oranjerivier, vlak bij de Gariepdam.

Norvalspont is aan die Oranjerivier, 4 km stroomaf van die Gariepdam geleë in die Noord-Kaap, Suid-Afrika. Die dorpie het in 1848 ontstaan toe sir Harry Smith sy troepe oor die Oranjerivier moes neem. Daar was nie 'n brug nie en 'n Skot, ene Norval, het 'n pont gebou. Die eerste brug oor die Oranjerivier is in 1889 gebou. Die brug is in die loop van die Tweede Vryheidsoorlog opgeblaas.
