The Vallée des Merveilles, also known in Italian as the Valle delle Meraviglie (English: Valley of Marvels), is a part of the Mercantour National Park in southern France. It holds the largest quantity of open-air Bronze Age petroglyphs in Europe, after Val Camonica in Italy, and is given special note for the area's inclusion for the European Diploma of Protected Areas.
Das Vallée des Merveilles (deutsch Tal der Wunder) ist ein Hochtal innerhalb des Parc national du Mercantour in den französischen Seealpen.
La vallée des Merveilles est une vallée du massif du Mercantour, dans les Alpes, où ont été découvertes plus de 40 500 gravures rupestres préhistoriques, datées du Néolithique final et de l’Âge du bronze ancien, au milieu d’autres gravures plus récentes. Elle est sur le territoire de la commune française de Tende.
La Valle delle Meraviglie (in francese Vallée des Merveilles) fa parte del massiccio del Mercantour; vi sono state scoperte più di trentacinquemila incisioni rupestri preistoriche, tra le quali numerose figure di armi (pugnali e alabarde) risalenti soprattutto all'età del Rame (III millennio a.C.) e in misura minore all'antica età del Bronzo (2200-1800 a.C.). Sono presenti anche figure più antiche, in particolare reticolati e composizioni topografiche (nell'area di Fontanalba), databili al Neolitico (V e IV millennio a.C.).
