Mühlacker ist eine Stadt im Nordwesten Baden-Württembergs, rund zwölf Kilometer nordöstlich von Pforzheim. Sie ist die größte Stadt des Enzkreises und bildet ein Mittelzentrum für die umliegenden Gemeinden. Seit der Kreisreform, die am 1. Januar 1973 in Kraft trat, ist Mühlacker die einzige Große Kreisstadt im Enzkreis. Zuvor gehörte Mühlacker zum Landkreis Vaihingen.
