Die Abtei Tholey in Tholey im Saarland ist ein Benediktinerkloster im Bistum Trier und gehört der Beuroner Kongregation an. Die Abtei gilt als ältestes Kloster auf deutschem Boden und wurde 634 n. Chr. erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Die heutige frühgotische Abteikirche aus dem 13. Jahrhundert zählt zu den ältesten gotischen Kirchen Deutschlands. Die Abteikirche steht unter dem Patrozinium des heiligen Mauritius. Patroziniumstag der Abteikirche ist der 22. September. Der aktuelle lateinische Wahlspruch der Abtei lautet „fides cum benignitate“ („Glaube mit Menschlichkeit“).
