עמק האלה הוא עמק קטן בשפלת יהודה, מדרום לבית שמש, שנודע כמקום קרב דוד וגוליית על-פי המסופר בתנ"ך. עמק האלה נחשב לאחד האזורים הפוריים ביותר בארץ ישראל, והוא מקשר בין השפלה להרי יהודה וחבל עדולם, ומכאן חשיבותו לאורך השנים. עד ימינו בולטים בעמק ובסביבתו מספר רב של אתרים ארכאולוגיים ותלים מקראיים.
The Valley of Elah or Ella Valley ("the valley of the terebinth"; from the Hebrew: עמק האלה Emek HaElah), called in Arabic: وادي السنط, Wadi es-Sunt, is a long, shallow valley in Israel and the West Bank best known as the place described in the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament of Christianity) where the Israelites were encamped when David fought Goliath (1 Samuel 17:2; 1 Samuel 17:19). It is home to several important archaeological sites, including those identified as the ancient towns of Azekah and Socho (1 Samuel 17:1). Rising up from the valley on its extreme southeast end lies the hilltop ruin Adullam, and on its north lie the ruins of the ancient fortress city of Khirbet Qeiyafa, which is identified with the ancient town of Sha'araim (1 Samuel 17:52).
Nachal ha-Ela (hebrejsky: נחל האלה, arabsky: وادي السنط,Vádí es-Sunt) je vádí na Západním břehu Jordánu a v Izraeli.

Elah, Ela, znana też jako dolina Ela[h] lub nizina Ela[h] (hebr. עמק האלה Emek HaElah) – dolina biblijna na terenie Szefeli w Judzie, identyfikowana jest ze współczesną Wadi es-Samt. Zlokalizowana jest na południowy zachód od Jerozolimy, rozciągająca się w kierunku starożytnego terytorium filistyńskiego. Przez dolinę przebiegał szlak z Jerozolimy do Filistei. Od północy Elah była ograniczona wzgórzem, na którym na przełomie XI–X wieku p.n.e., tj. w początkowym okresie królestwa Izraela została wzniesiona strategiczna twierdza Chirbet Qejafa.
La vallée des Térébinthes (en hébreu vallée d'Elah, en arabe Wadi es-Sunt) est une petite vallée qui se situe en Israël, à une vingtaine de kilomètres au sud-ouest de Bethléem, à environ 20 minutes de Bet Shemesh. Elle relie la Shéphélah aux monts de Judée, d'où son importance stratégique. Selon la Bible, c'est là que David combattit Goliath.
Elah ist ein Tal in Israel, das die Schefela mit den Judäischen Bergen verbindet. Historisch gehörte es zum Königreich Juda in Israel, zwischen Aseka und Sochoh (שֹׂכֹה). Es wird auch Tal der Terebinthen genannt (hebräisch עֵמֶק האֵלָה ʿEmeq ha'Elah, arabisch وادي السنط, DMG Wādī es-Sunṭ). Nach 1 Sam 17,2.19 lagerten die Israeliten dort, als David gegen Goliat kämpfte. Auf der westlichen Seite des Tals steht nahe Sokho eine 17 Meter hohe Terebinthe mit einer großen Krone von 22 Metern. Dieser Vertreter einer „biblischen“ Baumart markiert das obere Ende des Tals und ist als eindrücklicher Markierungspunkt bekannt.
