Die Stadtbahn Karlsruhe ist ein regelspuriges Zweisystem-Stadtbahnsystem in Karlsruhe und Umgebung. Das Verkehrssystem kombiniert innerstädtische Straßenbahnstrecken mit Eisenbahnstrecken im Umland, erschließt damit die gesamte Region Mittlerer Oberrhein und stellt Verbindungen in Nachbarregionen her. Seit Dezember 2021 verkehren die innerstädtischen Linien teilweise im Tunnel.
The Karlsruhe Stadtbahn is a German tram-train system combining tram lines in the city of Karlsruhe with railway lines in the surrounding countryside, serving the entire region of the middle upper Rhine valley and creating connections to neighbouring regions. The Stadtbahn combines an efficient urban railway in the city with an S-Bahn (suburban railway), overcoming the boundary between trams and trains. Its logo does not include the green and white S-Bahn symbol used in other German suburban rail systems and the symbol is only used at stops and stations outside the inner-city tram-operation area.
La Stadtbahn de Karlsruhe est une partie du réseau de transport public de Karlsruhe, en Allemagne. Il comporte 17 lignes dont uniquement six lignes interconnectées au tramway de Karlsruhe.
De Stadtbahn van Karlsruhe is samen met de tram van Karlsruhe het belangrijkste vervoermiddel in het openbaar vervoer van de Duitse stad Karlsruhe. Het vormt ook een aanmerkelijk deel van het railvervoer in Baden-Württemberg, naast de DB. Het normaalsporige net met een lengte van 504 kilometer wordt door de Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG) in samenwerking met de Verkehrsbetriebe Karlsruhe (VBK) geëxploiteerd. Op 18 april 1958 werd de Albtalbahn (een lokaalspoorweg) aangesloten op het tramnet van Karlsruhe, waarmee het begin werd gelegd van het Karlsruher Model. Het netwerk voldoet daadwerkelijk aan de definitie van een Stadtbahn sinds de opening van de tramtunnel eind 2021. Sindsdien rijden de sneltrams, zoals bij ander Stadtbahn-netwerken, in het centrum ondergronds.
