Brecqhou (or Brechou; French pronunciation: [bʁɛku]) is one of the Channel Islands, located off the west coast of Sark where they are now geographically detached from each other. Brecqhou is politically part of both Sark and the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It has been established in the courts that Brecqhou is a tenement of Sark. The Ministry of Justice, the department of the United Kingdom government with responsibility for the Channel Islands, considers Brecqhou part of Sark.
Brecqhou (Brecqhou ou Brechou en anglais) est une petite île Anglo-Normande, située juste à l'ouest de Sercq. Elle fait d’ailleurs politiquement partie de la seigneurie de Sercq, elle-même rattachée au bailliage de Guernesey. Brecqhou est une île privée, très surveillée et son accès public n’est pas autorisé.
Brecqhou är en av de minsta öarna i Engelska Kanalen. Den är cirka 35 hektar stor och belägen strax väster om Sark. Ön lyder under Sark som ett så kallat tenement (vilket de nuvarande ägarna emellertid inte vill erkänna). Tidigare ägdes ön av en släkt från Guernsey, La Marchant, men den köptes 1993 av Sir David och Sir Frederick Barclay, som på ön låtit uppföra en slottsliknande bostad – Fort Breqchou. De har givit ut Brecqhou-frimärken sedan 1999.
Brecqhou (englisch auch Brechou, französisch Brecqhou – von altnordisch brekka, Steilhang und holm, Insel oder altenglisch hōh, Höhe) ist eine der kleinen Kanalinseln. Sie liegt nur 180 Meter westlich von Sark, getrennt durch die Gouliot Passage. Zwischen Brecqhou und Sark liegt der kleine Felsen Moie S. Pierre, auch Moie du Gouliot. Brecqhou erreicht eine Höhe von 70 Metern.
Het eiland Brecqhou ligt voor de Franse kust van Normandië ten westen van Sark. Bestuurlijk gezien is het een deel van Sark, dat op zijn beurt weer deel uitmaakt van het baljuwschap (Engels: bailiwick) van Guernsey.
