Sart Çayı, tarihte Pactola olarak bilinir. Ege Bölgesi'nde Ege Denizi'ne dökülen bir çaydır. Bozdağ'dan doğar, şu an Manisa sınırları içinde bulunan ve Lidya Krallığının başkenti olan Sardes harabelerinden geçerek Gediz Nehri'ne dökülür.
Pactolus (Greek: Πακτωλός), also called Chrysorrhoas (Χρυσορρόας), the modern Sart Çayı 'Sardis stream', is a river near the Aegean coast of Turkey. The river rises from Mount Tmolus, flows through the ruins of the ancient city of Sardis, and empties into the Gediz River, the ancient Hermus. The Pactolus once contained electrum that was the basis of the economy of the ancient state of Lydia, which used the naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver to mint the first coins under Alyattes of Lydia.
Der Paktolos (griechisch Πακτωλός, heutiger türkischer Name Sart Çayı) ist der antike Name eines Flusses nahe der ägäischen Küste der Türkei. Er ist ein Nebenfluss des Hermos (türkisch Gediz) im westlichen Kleinasien. Er entspringt am Boz Dağı, dem antiken Tmolos und mündet bei Salihli in den Gediz.

El río Pactolo (en turco: Sart Çayı) es un pequeño río cercano a la costa egea de Turquía. Nace en el monte Tmolo, fluye atravesando las ruinas de la antigua ciudad de Sardes,[1] y desagua en el río Gediz, el antiguo Hermo, del que en la antigüedad era un pequeño afluente por la derecha. Corría por el reino de Lidia y según varias leyendas griegas era aurífero,[2] y discurría por el corazón del territorio más fértil, región cuya riqueza en oro era proverbial, pero que estaba sujeta a sacudidas sísmicas.
