La Libertad is a city located in western Santa Elena Province, Ecuador, by the Pacific Ocean. It is the seat of La Libertad Canton.

But in 1960, Montañita, foreigners linked to the hippie movement decided to settle there permanently. Manglaralto es una parroquia rural de la Provincia de Santa Elena, Ecuador. Contiene dos sectores marcados geográficamente: el del filo costero y el del interior de predominancia rural y de vocación conservacionista, debido a la presencia del Bosque Protector de Chongón–Colonche, el cual ocupa cerca del 40% del territorio de la parroquia. Cuenta con un solo centro poblado del mismo nombre el cual ocupa aproximadamente el 15% del territorio parroquial.
Atahualpa es una de las 6 parroquias rurales que conforman el cantón Santa Elena perteneciente a la provincia del mismo nombre, conocida también como la ‘Capital o Imperio del Mueble’,[1] La cabecera parroquial está ubicada a 17 kilómetros de Santa Elena y a 5 kilómetros de la vía Salinas - Guayaquil. Tiene una extensión territorial de 94.14 km², su densidad poblacional es de 108.84 hab. por km² y tiene una sola comuna conocida como Entre Ríos.[2]
