Alta Peak (Q4735990)
Summary from English Wikipedia (enwiki)

Alta Peak is in Sequoia National Park not far from Giant Forest. Before 1896, the mountain was known as Tharps Peak. By 1903 it was generally known by its current name and Alta Peak appears on the Tehipite quadrangle, USGS 30 minute topographic map of 1905, and was officially recognized by the Board on Geographic Names in 1928. The Sierra Club Bulletin noted that the name Alta Peak was "euphonious". A meadow on its southern slope had long been known as Alta Meadow. A rocky outcrop, 0.5 miles (0.8 km) southwest of the summit, is now known as Tharps Rock. Hale Tharp was the first euro-American to explore the Giant Forest area. His summer camp, a hollowed out Sequoia log near Crescent Meadow known as Tharp's Log, is popular with park visitors.

Summary from English Wikipedia (enwiki)

Muir Grove is a giant sequoia grove in Sequoia National Park of the Tulare County, which covers about 215 acres (0.87 km2). The grove, located in the northwest corner of the park, is accessed by the Muir Grove Trail which begins from the Dorst Creek Campground. Because of its relatively remote location in the park, it is significantly less visited than the more popular groves of large sequoia trees in the park. The isolated atmosphere helps keep Muir Grove untouched and preserved.

Black Giant (Q35727572)
Summary from English Wikipedia (enwiki)

Black Giant is a 13,330-foot-elevation (4,060-meter) mountain summit located west of the crest of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in Fresno County of central California, United States. Black Giant ranks as the 86th highest summit in California. It is the northernmost and highest summit on its namesake ridge, the Black Divide in northern Kings Canyon National Park. The peak is situated 3.9 miles (6.3 km) east of Mount Goddard, and 2.6 miles (4.2 km) south-southeast of Mount Fiske, which is the nearest higher neighbor. Topographic relief is significant as it rises 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) above Le Conte Canyon in approximately two miles. Muir Pass is 1.4 miles (2.3 km) to the northwest, and the approach to this remote peak is made via the John Muir Trail.

Lawson Peak (Q135532324)
Summary from English Wikipedia (enwiki)

Lawson Peak is a 13,165-foot-elevation (4,013-meter) mountain summit located west of the crest of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Tulare County, California, United States. It is situated on Kaweah Peaks Ridge of the Great Western Divide in Sequoia National Park. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 5,150 feet (1,570 meters) above Kern Canyon in approximately six miles. Precipitation runoff from this mountain drains into tributaries of the Kern River. This landform's toponym was officially adopted in 1976 by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names to commemorate Andrew Lawson (1861–1952), professor of geology at the University of California, Berkeley. The first ascent of the summit was made on July 11, 1924, by Gerald A. Gaines, C. A. Gaines, and H. H. Bliss.
