Northcross is a suburb of the North Shore in the Auckland metropolitan area in northern New Zealand. It is located on the north shore of the Waitematā Harbour.
The Okura River is a river in the north of the Auckland Region in the North Island of New Zealand. The river rises in the low hills to the south of Silverdale and flows into Karepiro Bay on the Hauraki Gulf. The river is extremely tidal with only a narrow channel being navigable by small craft at low tide. The area is popular for horse riding, riders wait till low tide and then ford the boating channel to ride the estuary and beaches on the northern side.
Orewa is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city. It lies on the Hibiscus Coast, just north of the base of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula and 40 kilometers north of central Auckland. It is a popular holiday destination.
Tiritiri Matangi Island is located in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand, 3.4 km (2.1 mi) east of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula in the North Island and 30 km (19 mi) north east of Auckland. The 2.2 km2 (1 sq mi) island is an open nature reserve managed by the Supporters of Tiritiri Matangi Incorporated, under the supervision of the Department of Conservation and is noted for its bird life, including takahē, North Island kōkako and kiwi. It attracts between 30,000 and 32,000 visitors a year, the latter figure being the maximum allowed by the Auckland Conservation Management Strategy.
Tiritiri Matangi Lighthouse, also known as Tiritiri Lighthouse, is a lighthouse on Tiritiri Matangi, an island in the Hauraki Gulf 28 km north of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It is owned and operated by Maritime New Zealand. It is considered the best-preserved lighthouse complex in the country, and is the oldest lighthouse in New Zealand still in operation. It was once the most powerful lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Hibiscus Coast is a stretch of the Hauraki Gulf coast located in New Zealand's Auckland Region. It is the 10th largest urban area in New Zealand, and the second largest in the Auckland Region behind Auckland itself.

Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve, known colloquially as "Eaves Bush", is 16ha forest located at the northern end of Orewa. It is named after Mrs Alice Caroline Eaves (d. 1955), whose family bequeathed the land to the nation in 1960.

Gulf Harbour is a development some 4 km from the end of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, towards the northern end of Auckland, New Zealand. It has one of the country's largest marinas, one of the country's top golf courses, and is regarded as a retreat for Auckland's well-off. The site is also known as Hobbs Bay, and was sold in the early seventies by landowners, the Hobbs family, who still retain some of the coastal area including the Hobbs Bay beach.

Mairangi Bay is a coastal suburb of North Shore, Auckland, located in the northern North Island of New Zealand, on the south-east-facing peninsula forming the northern side of the Waitematā Harbour. Mairangi Bay came under the local governance of the North Shore City Council until subsumed into the Auckland Council in 2010.
Manly is a suburb on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, towards the northern end of Auckland, New Zealand. Manly Village is an established shopping centre, with the residential areas of Big Manly to the north and Little Manly to the south. The area was once a seaside holiday location, but has become residential suburbs within commuting distance of central Auckland city. A significant proportion of the population is retired.
Murrays Bay is a small suburb in Auckland's East Coast Bays region. The suburb is roughly the same size as Rothesay Bay, the suburb to the immediate north. It is primarily a residential area but does have a community centre, restaurant and café. Murrays Bay is regularly serviced by buses which go to Takapuna and Auckland City.

Red Beach is a suburb surrounding the beach of the same name on the Hibiscus Coast, Auckland, New Zealand, at the base of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The suburb of Silverdale is to the south-west, and Orewa to the north. The beach is on the Hauraki Gulf and the suburb is bounded by two estuaries, that of the Weiti River to the south and the Orewa River to the north.
Shakespear Regional Park is a nature park in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It is located at the tip of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, and is named after the Shakespear family which bought the land in the 1880s from local Maori.
Silverdale is a village approximately 30 km north of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on the north bank of the Weiti River and lies to the west of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. It was formerly called Wade (a corruption of Weiti) but renamed Silverdale in 1911 because of the many poplar trees in the area at the time and because it is situated in a dale.

The name Torbay comes from the area of the same name in the south east of Devon, England, and from the Tor, a presque-isle at the north end of Waiake Beach that becomes an island at high tide.
Waiwera is a small town in the north of the Auckland Region in New Zealand. The name is of Māori origin and means "Hot Water" (Wai = Water and Wera = Hot). Its main claim to fame are the hot water springs which were well known in pre-European times and reputedly visited by Māori from as far away as Thames. The first European settler to promote the springs was Robert Graham who established a health resort in 1848. During the late 19th century there was a regular steam ferry service from Auckland.

The Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve is a 980-hectare (2,400-acre) protected area at Long Bay on the North Shore in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It was created by Order in Council in 1995.

It is named for the New Zealand Defence Force area north of Shakespear Regional Park. The military area was used to quarantine New Zealanders and Pacific Islanders evacuated from Wuhan during the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020.

Waiake is a suburb in the East Coast Bays of Auckland, New Zealand, between the suburbs of Browns Bay to the south and Torbay to the north. It has a beach (named Waiake Beach), which looks out to the Tor, after which Torbay is named. Waiake is under the local governance of the Auckland Council.
