Riviera Tower, also known as Marina Tower or Hellinikon Marina Residential Tower, is a residential skyscraper currently under construction in Athens, Greece. Located at the coastal district of Elliniko, its planned height of 198 m (650 ft) is going to render it the tallest building in Greece. The tower designed by Foster + Partners when completed in 2026 will host 200 apartments on 50 floors. The tower will feature green building characteristics and its developers aim for LEED Gold certification. The tower is a part of the Hellenikon Metropolitan Park.
The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) (Greek: Εθνική Μετεωρολογική Υπηρεσία (ΕΜΥ)) is a government agency responsible for making weather forecasts and observations for Greece. HNMS was founded in 1931 under the Ministry of Aviation and its mission was to cover all the meteorological and climatological needs of the country. It is based at the former Athens International Airport at Elliniko, and operates under the auspices of the Hellenic Air Force, staffed by both military and civilian personnel.
Nea Smyrni (Greek: Νέα Σμύρνη, Néa Smýrni, "New Smyrna") is a municipality and a town in South Athens, Greece. At the 2021 census, it had 72,853 inhabitants. It was named after the former Greek city Smyrna (today's İzmir in Turkey), whence many refugees arrived and settled in the Nea Smyrni area following the 1922 catastrophe of Asia Minor and the Burning of Smyrna which left big parts of the city's christian population massacred by Turkish mobs and military, during the Greco-Turkish war.
Georgios Averof (Greek: Θ/Κ Γεώργιος Αβέρωφ) is a modified Pisa-class armored cruiser built in Italy for the Royal Hellenic Navy in the first decade of the 20th century. The ship served as the Greek flagship during most of the first half of the century. Nea Smyrni Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Νέας Σμύρνης) is a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Smyrni, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios, which plays for the Gamma Ethniki. The all seated stadium holds 11,700 spectators and was built in 1939. Before full seating was installed in 1998 for the participation of Panionios in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup its capacity was close to 19,000. The stadium is eligible to host UEFA Europa League matches and its football pitch dimensions are about average at 105x72m.
Alimos (Greek: Άλιμος) is a town on the Saronic Gulf coast, a suburb of the Athens agglomeration, and a municipality in South Athens regional unit, Greece. It was formed in 1968 comprising two settlements, the suburban seaside town of Kalamaki (Greek: Καλαμάκι), and the inland community of Trachones (Greek: Τράχωνες). Alimos had 43,174 inhabitants in the 2021 census.
The Agios Kosmas Olympic Sailing Centre hosted the sailing events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. The center is located about four miles from downtown Athens along the coast. It was officially opened on August 2, 2004, a few weeks before the Olympics, though test events were conducted at the site in August 2002 and 2003. The center had a capacity of 1,600 for the medal ceremonies.

USS Charrette (DD-581) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy, named for Lieutenant George Charrette (1867–1938), who was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism during the Spanish–American War. Entering service during World War II, she spent her career in the Pacific theatre. Placed in reserve following the war, Charette was transferred to the Kingdom of Greece in 1959 and renamed Velos (D16), remaining in service till 1991 before being preserved as a museum ship at Palaio Faliro, Athens.

The Athinon Arena (Αθηνών Αρένα), sometimes referred to as Athens Arena, is a grand music venue in Athens, Greece. It was built in 2004 as a large-scale convention centre and concert hall, designed to host up to 3,000 people seated. It was owned by the Papatheoharis Group. Agios Dimitrios–Alexandros Panagoulis (Greek: Άγιος Δημήτριος–Αλέξανδρος Παναγούλης), commonly known as Agios Dimitrios, and also known as Aghios Dimitrios on signage, is a station on line 2 of the Athens Metro. It served as the line's terminus from 5 June 2004, when it was inaugurated, until the extension to Elliniko opened on 26 July 2013. The station took its name from the municipality of Agios Dimitrios (Brahami), which is the area it serves, also the station has the name of Alexandros Panagoulis, a fighter against the dictatorial regime of 1967-1974 and later Member of Parliament, who was killed in a car crash at the point where the station is situated on 1 May 1976. The station is located beneath the Vouliagmenis Avenue. It is entirely underground and has a central island style platform, at the ends of which are the stairways, escalators & lifts up to the concourse level from which there are 4 exits to street level. The station is attached to Athens Metro Mall, one of Athens' major shopping centers.

It had temples of Demeter and Core, and of Heracles. Halimus was the deme of Thucydides the historian.

Η Πλατεία Χρυσοστόμου Σμύρνης στη Νέα Σμύρνη βρίσκεται στην βασική είσοδο της πόλης από τη Λεωφόρο Συγγρού, στη θέση που παλιότερα ήταν γνωστή ως "Στροφή Νέας Σμύρνης". Επί της πλατείας έχει διαμορφωθεί το "Άλσος Μικρασιατικής Μνημοσύνης".
Το Ρέμα της Πικροδάφνης είναι το τελευταίο ρέμα της νότιας Αττικής που διατηρείται σε φυσική μορφή και πηγάζει από τη δυτική πλευρά του Υμηττού, καταλήγοντας στη θάλασσα, στα σύνορα Παλαιού Φαλήρου και Καλαμακίου. Η υδρολογική λεκάνη στην οποία διαμορφώνεται ο ρους του έχει συνολική έκταση 22,4 χλμ² και μέσο υψόμετρο 260 μ, το οποίο και διασφαλίζει τη ροή των υδάτων έως το επίπεδο της θάλασσας. Περίπου 3 χλμ, από το συνολικό μήκος του ρέματος είναι εγκιβωτισμένα σε τσιμεντένια αναχώματα. Είναι ένα από τα λίγα ρέματα που περνούν μέσα από τον αστικό ιστό της ευρύτερης περιοχής της Αθήνας και έχει διατηρήσει στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του μήκους του τον αρχικό του ρου και βλάστηση. Έχει χαρακτηριστεί «ιδιαιτέρου περιβαλλοντικού ενδιαφέροντος» με το ΦΕΚ 281Δ/1993.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) (Greek: Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος (ΚΠΙΣΝ)) is a cultural center complex in the municipality of Kallithea in Attica which includes new facilities for the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO), as well as the 210,000 m2 (2,300,000 sq ft) Stavros Niarchos Park. The center was designed by architect Renzo Piano and its construction was funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The $861 million project was completed in 2016, and was donated to the Greek state in 2017.
Euonymeia (Greek: Ευωνύμεια, Evonímia), also known by its medieval name Trachones (Greek: Τράχωνες), and by its modern colloquial Ano Kalamaki (Greek: Άνω Καλαμάκι, Upper Kalamaki), is a historic settlement and currently a residential neighborhood within the suburban town of Alimos in the southern part of the Athens urban area, Greece. The area is an inland part of the south Athenian plain, situated between the foothills of Mount Hymettus and the southern coastal zone of Athens on the Saronic Gulf. The land is characterized by limestone hills and streams running from Hymettus toward the coast.

Kalamaki (Greek: Καλαμάκι) was a seaside settlement, and current residential and commercial neighborhood within Alimos, a suburban town and a municipality in the South Athens regional unit within the Athens urban agglomeration. The coastal village of Kalamaki was founded in 1923 as a result of the population exchange between Greece and Turkey by resettled ethnic Greeks from the Anatolian village of Kalamaki, which was renamed to Kalkan. Between 1942 and 1945, Kalamaki joined the neighboring coastal settlement of Phalerum, to form the municipality of Palaio Faliro. In 1968, the settlement was administratively merged with the inland community of Trachones to the east, together forming the contemporary municipality of Alimos. The area of Kalamaki corresponds to the location of Alimos, an ancient deme of the Athenian democracy in classical antiquity.

The Onassio Cardiac Surgery Centre (Greek: Ωνάσειο Καρδιοχειρουργικό Κέντρο) or simply Onassio (Ωνάσειο) is a model hospital, specialized in adult and pediatric heart diseases, and is a donation of the non-profit Alexander S. Onassis Foundation to the Greek State. It is a non-profit legal entity under private law and operates under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Health and Social Insurance. It is located in Kallithea, Athens, at the end of Syngrou Avenue (Syngrou 356).
Η Αμφιθέα είναι συνοικία στο Παλαιό Φάληρο. Η περιοχή εκτείνεται από την οδό Αχιλλέως μέχρι τη λεωφόρο Συγγρού και από την οδό συνταγματάρχου Ζησιμοπούλου μέχρι την οδό Παμφυλίας. Η Αμφιθέα ονομάστηκε μάλλον έτσι λόγω της θέας που αντικρίζει κανείς σε αυτήν την περιοχή καθώς βλέπεις όλο το λεκανοπέδιο της Αττικής σε όλο του το πλάτος. Άλλες ονομασίες της περιοχής παλαιότερα ήταν Βουρλοπόταμος ή Ξηροτάγαρος. Η Αμφιθέα είναι γνωστή για τα πολυάριθμα εστιατόριά της καθώς και για το πράσινο που υπάρχει στην περιοχή κάνοντάς την να είναι ένας από τους «πνεύμονες» της Αττικής. Την περιοχή διασχίζει η λεωφόρος Αμφιθέας, η οποία έχει πάρει το όνομα της από τη συνοικία. Η λεωφόρος Αμφιθέας εκτείνεται από το ρέμα της Πικροδάφνης μέχρι την λεωφόρο Συγγρού.
Η μαρίνα Φλοίσβου είναι μια μεγάλη μαρίνα που βρίσκεται στην ομώνυμη συνοικία του Παλαιού Φαλήρου. Στη μαρίνα ελλιμενίζεται πλήθωρα ιδιωτικών σκαφών πολυτελείας, ενώ ταυτόχρονα διαθέτει πάρκο με παιδική χαρά καθώς και διάφορα εστιατόρια, καφέ και μπαρ, όντας έτσι ένας πόλος έλξης για την αναψυχή των κατοίκων της Αθήνας και των επισκεπτών της. Στη μαρίνα επίσης βρίσκονται οι εγκαταστάσεις του Ναυτικού Ομίλου Παλαιού Φαλήρου. Η πρόσβαση σε αυτήν γίνεται από τους σταθμούς του τραμ Πάρκο Φλοίσβου και Τροκαντερό.
