Dapeng New Area (大鹏新区; Cantonese: [tàːi̯ pʰȁːŋ sɐ́n kʰɵ́y̯]) is an administrative area under the jurisdiction of Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong. It has a land area of 294.18 square kilometres (113.58 sq mi), a coastline of 133.22 kilometres (82.78 mi) and a total population of about 160,000. The district was created on 30 December 2011 with its administration center located on 5 Dapeng Street, Zhongshan Road.
Mirs Bay (also known as Tai Pang Wan, Dapeng Wan, Dapeng Bay or Mers Bay; traditional Chinese: 大鵬灣; simplified Chinese: 大鹏湾) is a bay in the northeast of Kat O and Sai Kung Peninsula of Hong Kong. The north and east shores are surrounded by Yantian and Dapeng New District of Shenzhen. Ping Chau stands in the midst of the bay.
Daya Nuclear Power Plant (Chinese: 大亚湾核电站; pinyin: Dàyàwān Hédiànzhàn) is a nuclear power plant located in Daya Bay in Longgang District, along the eastern extremity of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China; and to the north east of Hong Kong. Daya Bay has two 944 MWe PWR nuclear reactors based on the Framatome ANP French 900 MWe three cooling loop design (M310), were both commissioned in 1993 and started commercial operation in 1993 and 1994 respectively.

Ling Ao Nuclear Power Plant (岭澳核电站) is located on the Dapeng Peninsula in Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, about 60 km north of Hong Kong, 1 km north of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. It is operated by China General Nuclear Power Group. The units on site are separated between phase I and phase II.
Daya Bay (simplified Chinese: 大亚湾; traditional Chinese: 大亞灣; pinyin: Dàyà Wān; Jyutping: daai6aa3 waan1), formerly known as Bias Bay, is a bay of the South China Sea on the south coast of Guangdong Province in China. It is bordered by Shenzhen's Dapeng Peninsula to the west and Huizhou to the north and east.
Dapeng Peninsula or Dapengbandao (大鹏半岛) is a peninsula in the east of Longgang district, that lies in the easternmost part of Shenzhen in the Guangdong Province in China. To the southwest of the peninsula is Mirs Bay and to the northeast is Daya Bay. The Dapeng dialect is the main dialect across the whole peninsula. The Dapeng Fortress (Dapengcheng) was built to protect the inhabitants from attacks by Japanese pirates (wokou) during the late Ming Dynasty. During the Second Opium War there was a possibility of annexation as part of British Hong Kong. Ultimately the area was never occupied by the British. During the Cultural Revolution the region saw a major famine, just like the rest of rural China.

Qiniangshan (Chinese: 七娘山) is a mountain in Nan'ao Subdistrict, Dapeng Peninsula. At 869 metres above sea level, it is the second tallest mountain in Shenzhen after Wutongshan. It is located within the Dapeng National Geopark. Trekking here is moderately difficult and offers views of Shenzhen, Hong Kong and the South China Sea.[1]
