The Kintigh Generating Station, also known as Somerset Operating Co. LLC of the Upstate New York Power Producers was a 675-megawatt coal-fired power plant located in Somerset, New York, United States. The plant was owned by AES Corporation until bankruptcy. Its unit was launched into service in 1984. Coal is provided to the plant via the Somerset Railroad. The waste heat is dumped into Lake Ontario, resulting in a warm-water plume visible on satellite images. The plant's 625-foot smoke stack can be seen across Lake Ontario from the shores of Toronto, Pickering, Oshawa, and Ajax, Ontario. It can also be seen from points along the Niagara Escarpment, including Lockport, NY, approximately 20 miles south. Power from the plant is transferred by dual 345kV power lines on wood pylons, which run south from the plant through rural agricultural land. In Royalton, NY they split at their physical junction with the dual circuit 345-kV Niagara-to-Edic transmission line, owned by the New York Power Authority, one circuit heads west to a substation at Niagara Falls, the other heads east to Station 80 south of Rochester. This bulk electric transmission constraint, created by the Somerset plant tie-in and forcing wheeling through 230kV and 345kV transmission lines to the Homer City Coal Plant east of Pittsburgh, PA, and returning to NY at the Watercurry substation outside Elmira, will be resolved through the Empire State Line proposal approved by NY Independent System Operator (NYISO).

The Summit, formerly Summit Park Mall, was an enclosed shopping mall in Wheatfield, New York. Opened in 1972, the mall became largely vacant by the late 1990s. It underwent renovations in 2004 and 2005 which added new anchor stores and tenants, but after the mall's developers filed for bankruptcy protection in 2009, the complex was closed except for three anchor stores: Sears, The Bon-Ton and Save-A-Lot, with two more vacant anchors last occupied by Steve & Barry's and a Macy's closeout store. As of September 2017, Save-A-Lot has closed permanently, leaving only Sears and The Bon-Ton still open in the mall. On April 18, 2018, it was announced that The Bon-Ton would be closing in August 2018 as it is going out of business, leaving Sears as the only tenant left. On May 7, 2018, Sears announced that would also be closing in August 2018. In December 2019, within Sears' old location, The Niagara International Sports & Entertainment facility opened. In 2020, a plan was proposed to revitalize the location, converting part of the mall into mixed use spaces, as well as offering lodging for visitors. Developers plan to expand the project to eventually include ice rinks, shops, and eateries.
Thirty Mile Point Light is a lighthouse on the south shore of Lake Ontario in Niagara County, New York. It is part of Golden Hill State Park, a New York state park. The lighthouse is open to the public. It gets its name because it is the point 30 miles east of the Niagara River. The lighthouse was built in 1875 of hand-carved stone. The old tower is being restored.

The Turtle, also known as the Turtle Building or the Native American Center for the Living Arts, is a three-story building in Niagara Falls, New York. The building was opened in May 1981 as the headquarters for the Native American Center for the Living Arts, an organization dedicated to promoting Native American visual and performing arts. Its unique shape, with a geodesic dome roof "shell" and large porthole "eye" windows, invokes the Iroquois creation story of the earth forming on the back of a giant turtle. After closing in 1995 due to financial trouble, the building has remained vacant, with its future preservation and use in question.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian Church located at Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York. The church is part of the Presbytery of Western New York which is part of the Synod of the Northeast, a regional body of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The original section was built in 1849, with additions and modifications made in 1879, 1903–1904, and 1921. The sanctuary was renovated in 1957. It is a Gothic Revival style, L-shaped, stone church. The church features a three-story crenellated bell tower and round arched windows and openings. The congregation was established in 1824.
Pound–Hitchins House, also known as “Mount Providence” and Ruhlmann House, is a historic home located at Lockport, Niagara County, New York. It was built about 1833 and is a two-story, five-bay, Greek Revival style dwelling with a large two-story wing. It has a side-gable roof and end chimneys, and is constructed of large-block ashlar Gasport limestone. It features an elaborate central entry with an original six-panel wood door recessed slightly behind two engaged Ionic order columns in antis with sidelights and panels.

In 2018 a Niagara Falls councillor proposed establishing a library authority. The library succeeded Niagara Falls' Carnegie Library opened in 1904 and now used as offices.
Stella Niagara is a hamlet in Niagara County, New York, United States. The community is located along the Niagara River and New York State Route 18F, 7.3 miles (11.7 km) north of Niagara Falls. Stella Niagara is primarily known for being the home of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity. Stella Niagara Education Park, a Montessori through 8th Grade private elementary school, is also located on property. More recently, it has seen the creation of the Stella Niagara Preserve, the largest privately owned, undeveloped tract of land along the entire length of the Niagara River, when the Land Conservancy purchased this remarkable property from the Sisters of St. Francis in 2015. Stella Niagara had a post office until July 19, 1997; it still has its own ZIP code, 14144.
