Nome is a municipality in Telemark in the county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Midt-Telemark and historically of Grenland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Ulefoss.
Eidselva lies in Nome municipality in Vestfold og Telemark County, Norway. It rises in Flåvatn, and runs into Norsjø in Ulefoss. The river is part of Skiensvassdraget, and an important part of the Telemark Canal. On the stretch from Ulefoss to Flåvatn there are six sluices (14 sluicegates), with a total rise of around 57 metres (187 ft). In the river, there are four hydroelectric power stations: Eidsfoss, Vrangfoss, Ulefoss and Aall-Ulefoss.
Lunde Station (Norwegian: Lunde stasjon) is located in Lunde in Nome, Norway on the Sørlandet Line. The station is served by express trains to Kristiansand as well as serving as a major transport hub in western Telemark.
Ulefos Jernværk is an iron foundry located at Ulefoss in the municipality Nome, Norway. It was established in 1657 by Ove Gjedde and Preben von Ahnen. The company produced pig iron until 1877. Wood-burning stoves were important products until the 1950s. From 1999 the foundry is owned by the holding company Ulefos NV.
