Ebersdorf ist ein Stadtteil im Nordosten von Chemnitz. Er wurde am 1. Juli 1919 eingemeindet. Das wohl bekannteste Bauwerk ist die Stiftskirche Ebersdorf, die in ihrer heutigen Form von 1400 bis 1470 erbaut wurde. Eine weitere Sehenswürdigkeit ist das im ehemaligen Rathaus in der Silcherstraße befindliche Schulmuseum.

Die Kirche des Stifts Unserer lieben Frauen Ebersdorf im Chemnitzer Stadtteil Ebersdorf kann in ihren Ursprüngen auf das 12. Jahrhundert zurückgeführt werden und war ab dem 14. Jahrhundert eine Marien-Wallfahrtsstätte. Die anfangs kleine romanische Dorfkirche erhielt ihre heutige Gestalt durch Umbau und Vergrößerung im 15. Jahrhundert. Ihre kostbare, künstlerisch hochwertige Ausstattung stammt überwiegend aus dem 15. und frühen 16. Jahrhundert, als an der Kirche ein Kollegiatstift angesiedelt war. Erhalten sind ebenfalls einige Votivgaben der Pilger, um die sich verschiedene Sagen ranken.
