Dapeng New Area (大鹏新区; Cantonese: [tàːi̯ pʰȁːŋ sɐ́n kʰɵ́y̯]) is an administrative area under the jurisdiction of Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong. It has a land area of 294.18 square kilometres (113.58 sq mi), a coastline of 133.22 kilometres (82.78 mi) and a total population of about 160,000. The district was created on 30 December 2011 with its administration center located on 5 Dapeng Street, Zhongshan Road.

It is bordered by Shenzhen's Dapeng Peninsula to the west and Huizhou to the north and east.
Dapeng Peninsula or Dapengbandao (大鹏半岛) is a peninsula in the east of Longgang district, that lies in the easternmost part of Shenzhen in the Guangdong Province in China. To the southwest of the peninsula is Mirs Bay and to the northeast is Daya Bay. The Dapeng dialect is the main dialect across the whole peninsula. The Dapeng Fortress (Dapengcheng) was built to protect the inhabitants from attacks by Japanese pirates (wokou) during the late Ming Dynasty. During the Second Opium War there was a possibility of annexation as part of British Hong Kong. Ultimately the area was never occupied by the British. During the Cultural Revolution the region saw a major famine, just like the rest of rural China.

In 2018 it was forbidden by the Shenzhen Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources to name stations after corporate entities, however since the plans for the line were already approved in 2016, the name 'Huawei' was still allowed. Upon opening of the stations, it proved a popular spot for people to take pictures with their phones in front of the station sign.

The Dafen Art Museum (Chinese: 大芬美术馆) is an art museum located in the Dafen Village suburb of Shenzhen in China. It was designed by the Chinese architectural firm Urbanus, and was completed in 2007. It was built with an investment of 100 million yuan from the Chinese government with the purpose of attracting tourism and changing outside perception of Dafen as a center for low quality replica art. The museum contains a mix of spaces for local vendors to sell art and gallery spaces for exhibitions.
