Sunset Peak or Tai Tung Shan (Chinese: 大東山) is the third-highest peak in Hong Kong and the second-highest on the island of Lantau. It is situated within the Lantau South Country Park and the Lantau North Country Park and stands at a height of 869 metres (2,851 ft) above the Hong Kong Principal Datum, or 868 metres (2,848 ft) above mean sea level. The second-highest peak of the territory and the highest on the island, the Lantau Peak, is located to its west.
Sunshine Island (Chinese: 日光島), also known as Chau Kung To (周公島) indigenously, is a companion island of Hei Ling Chau in Hong Kong. Located northeast of Hei Ling Chau and south of Peng Chau, the island was once the site of a drug addiction treatment centre. The island features scenic rocks and some abandoned buildings. It has only one inhabitant, a 78-year-old named Lam Chi-ngai, and there is no public transport to the island.
Tai Ho Wan or Tai Ho Bay (Chinese: 大蠔灣; Cantonese Yale: daaih hòh wāan; lit. 'big oyster bay', also 大濠灣; 'big inlet bay') is a bay on the north shore of Lantau Island in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is located west of Siu Ho Wan, and northeast of Tung Chung and Kei Tau Kok. The surrounding land was originally planned to be part of the North Lantau New Town scope, but there is a current slowdown in its plans because of the lack in population growth and environmental groups opposed to the next in abeyance.
Tung Chung Battery is a former artillery battery located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Named after the eponymous district it is situated in, it was built in 1817, twenty-four years before the British took possession of Hong Kong. It was rediscovered in 1980 and is a declared monument of Hong Kong.

Lower Cheung Sha Beach is a gazetted beach located in Cheung Sha in southern Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The beach is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The beach is 96 metres long and is rated as good to fair by the Environmental Protection Department for its water quality in the past twenty years. Near the beach is the Upper Cheung Sha Beach, but the Upper Cheung Sha Beach is not connected to the Lower Cheung Sha Beach.
North Lantau Hospital (Chinese: 北大嶼山醫院; Cantonese Yale: Bāk Daaihyùhsāan Yīyún) is a rural general hospital in central Tung Chung, on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It was completed in late 2012 and began services on 24 September 2013. The hospital has a 24-hour accident and emergency service, and various outpatient services including the North Lantau Community Health Centre. This hospital belongs to Kowloon West Cluster of Hospital Authority.
Shap Long Reservoir (also known as Chi Ma Wan Reservoir or Shap Long Irrigation Reservoir), built in 1955, is a reservoir located in Chi Ma Wan Peninsula and Lantau South Country Park in Chi Ma Wan, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The Chi Ma Wan Country Trail and the Chi Ma Wan Mountain Bike Trail pass through the reservoir. The reservoir used to be the main water source for the residents of Cheung Chau, Peng Chau and Hei Ling Chau in the Islands District before being converted into an irrigation reservoir in the 1970s.
Peng Chau Public Pier (Chinese: 坪洲公眾碼頭) is a public pier in Peng Chau, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located in Wing On Side Street (Chinese: 永安橫街) and next to Peng Chau Ferry Pier (Chinese: 坪洲渡輪碼頭). The old pier was built in 1955 and replaced by the new one in 2004. The pier is mainly for loading and unloading of goods, and running kai-to operation between Peng Chau and Nim Shue Wan in Discovery Bay via Trappist Haven Monastery on Lantau Island.

Scenic Hill (Chinese: 觀景山) is a hill on Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong, and stands at a height of 77 metres (253 ft) above the sea level. Today, Scenic Hill is the tallest point on Chek Lap Kok Island, which houses Hong Kong International Airport. Yu Nga Court (Chinese: 裕雅苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority in Tung Chung, Lantau Island, New Territories, Hong Kong near Century Link, Bermuda Park, Yi Tung Park and Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel. The estate was constructed by Aggressive Construction Co. Ltd and consists of six residential blocks completed in 2021. It is the first public housing project in Hong Kong that has been affected by airport height restrictions since the closure of the Kai Tak Airport in 1998. The building opened in March of 2022, and residents have started moving into the building.

It is one of the two beaches in Cheung Chau along with Kwun Yam Beach and the beach is the largest in the island.

It is one of the two gazetted beaches in Cheung Chau along with Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach. This beach is smaller than Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach.

Chek Lap Kok is an island in the western waters of Hong Kong's New Territories which is home to the Hong Kong International Airport. Initially a hilly 4-square-kilometre (1.5 sq mi) island, it was flattened and greatly expanded via land reclamation into its current size of 12.48 square kilometres (4.82 sq mi) during 1992-1996 as part of the airport's construction, absorbing the nearby island of Lam Chau in the process. Due to its location, the airport is popularly referred to as Chek Lap Kok Airport to distinguish it from the former Hong Kong International Airport, now commonly known as Kai Tak Airport; conversely, the post-reclamation Chek Lap Kok is sometimes referred to as Airport Island, since two-thirds of the expanded island are made out of reclaimed land and it also encompasses the historic Lam Chau.
Ngong Ping 360 (Chinese: 昂坪360; Jyutping: ngong4 ping4 saam1 luk6 ling4, Cantonese) is a bicable gondola lift on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Intended to improve tourism to the area, the aerial lift was previously known as Tung Chung Cable Car Project before acquiring the Ngong Ping 360 brand in April 2005. It consists of the Ngong Ping Cable Car, formerly known as the Ngong Ping 360 Skyrail, and the Ngong Ping Village, a retail and entertainment centre adjacent to the cable car's upper station. Ngong Ping 360 connects Tung Chung, on the north coast of Lantau and itself linked to central Hong Kong by the Tung Chung line, with the Ngong Ping area in the hills above. This is home to the Po Lin Monastery and the Tian Tan Buddha, both already significant tourist attractions in their own right. Before Ngong Ping 360's opening, the only access was via a mountain road and bus service.
Peng Chau is a small island located off the north-eastern coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is known locally for its temples, fishing industry and seafood.
Tai O (Chinese: 大澳; Jyutping: daai6 ou3; Cantonese Yale: Daaih’Ou) is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The village name means large inlet, referring to outlet for the waterways (Tai O Creek and Tai O River) merges as it moves through Tai O.

Fan Lau Fort is a former military fortification located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Named after the eponymous peninsula it is situated on, it was built in 1729 during the reign of the Yongzheng Emperor, a hundred and twelve years before the British took possession of Hong Kong. Abandoned in 1898, it became a declared monument of Hong Kong in 1981.
Lantau Peak, or Fung Wong Shan (literally "Phoenix Mountain"), is a mountain in Lantau South Country Park, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is the second-highest peak in Hong Kong and the highest point on the island, with a height of 934 metres (3,064 ft) above the Hong Kong Principal Datum, or around 933 metres (3,061 ft) above mean sea level.
Disney's Hollywood Hotel is one of three hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It officially opened with the resort on Monday, 12 September, 2005. It has a Hollywood Art Deco theme and contains over 600 guest rooms. The rooms contain three options: standard rooms, deluxe rooms, and sea-view rooms. All room types have two themes that could be chosen from, including Mickey and Friends, and Marvel. Rooms also have the option of being wheelchair accessible.
Mui Wo is a rural town on the eastern coast of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The 2011 census recorded 5,485 people living in Mui Wo and its environs.
Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is the second Disney hotel in the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The theme of the hotel is of a Victorian style, and is located near Disneyland Harbour. The hotel is built on reclaimed land and opened on 12 September 2005.
Mystic Manor (Chinese: 迷離大宅) is a dark ride attraction in the Mystic Point area of Hong Kong Disneyland. Unlike Disneyland's Haunted Mansion attraction and its counterparts in other Disney parks, Mystic Manor has a lighthearted, fantasy-based theme with no references to departed spirits or the afterlife, due to differences in traditional Chinese culture. The attraction does feature several references to the Haunted Mansion, such as a Medusa changing portrait, a conservatory, and the busts that turn to follow visitors as they move. References to other Disney attractions include several figures similar to those from The Enchanted Tiki Room in the Tribal Arts room.
Hei Ling Chau (Chinese: 喜靈洲), formerly Hayling Chau or Nai Gu Island, is an island of Hong Kong, located east of Silver Mine Bay and Chi Ma Wan of Lantau Island. Administratively, it is part of the Islands District.
Discovery College (Chinese: 智新書院) is a private independent school operated by the ESF in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. It offers both primary and secondary education on one campus. Yi Tung Shan (Chinese: 二東山) is the ninth highest mountain in Hong Kong. It is situated east of Sunset Peak on Lantau Island, and is 747 m in height. Stage 2 of The Lantau Trail runs along the north side of its peak.
The AsiaWorld–Expo is one of the two major convention and exhibition facilities in Hong Kong along with Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was opened on 21 December 2005 by Donald Tsang, the second chief executive of Hong Kong, and it is operated by AsiaWorld–Expo Management Limited. It is located on Chek Lap Kok island, next to the Hong Kong International Airport.
Cheung Chau Public Pier (Chinese: 長洲公眾碼頭) is a public pier in Cheung Chau, New Territories, Hong Kong, located in Praya Street, with Cheung Chau Ferry Pier located between it and the Cheung Chau Typhoon Shelter. It is used for loading and unloading of goods, and running kai-to operation between other islands. The pier was built in 1950s. In 2002, the government decided to reconstruct the pier due to long-time deterioration of the pier. The reconstruction work was completed in 2005. On 8 August 2015, the first ferry route operated by Maris Ferry started running between this pier and Aberdeen Promenade.
Chi Ma Wan (Chinese: 芝麻灣; Jyutping: zi1 maa4 waan1; lit. 'Sesame Bay') is a bay on southeastern Lantau Island, New Territories, Hong Kong. Chi Ma Wan Peninsula (芝麻灣半島; zi1 maa4 waan1 bun3 dou2) is where Chi Ma Wan, as well as Cheung Sha Wan, Tai Long Wan, Yi Long Wan and Mong Tung Wan are located. The Peninsula is located within the boundaries of Lantau South Country Park.

Discovery Bay Ferry Pier (Chinese: 愉景灣渡輪碼頭) is a two-storey ferry pier in Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located near La Costa and Costa Court and opposite Discovery Bay Plaza and a bus terminus.

HKFEW Wong Cho Bau Secondary School is an aided secondary school in Hong Kong. Founded in September 2003, the school is fully subsidized by Government of Hong Kong. Most subjects of the school are taught in Chinese. Situated in Fu Tung Estate, Tung Chung, New Territories near Tung Chung station, the grammar school had 65 teachers, as of 2016. Established by Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, the school is the only secondary school governed by the teachers union.

Nim Shue Wan is the south facing bay on the south side of Discovery Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Nim Shue Wan Village (稔樹灣村) was a small fishing village but now has become a dormitory village for workers at nearby Discovery Bay.
Peaked Hill, also known as Kai Yet Kok (Chinese: 雞翼角; lit. 'the headland of chicken wing') and Kai Shan (雞山), is a stack island on the westernmost point on land of Hong Kong territories. The island is close to the west side of southwest Lantau Island, near Tsin Yue Wan (煎魚灣) and can be spotted from the 7th stage of Lantau Trail between Fan Lau and Yi O.
Peng Chau Ferry Pier or Peng Chau Pier is a ferry pier in Lo Peng Street, Peng Chau, New Territories, Hong Kong, next to Peng Chau Public Pier. Two ferry routes are operated at the pier. One is the service between Peng Chau and Central, operated by Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry. The other is the "Inter-Island" service among Peng Chau, Lantau Island (Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan) and Cheung Chau, operated by Sun Ferry.

Dr. Ma Kam Ming, a Po Leung Kuk consultant, donated HK$5 million to finance the establishment of the school in 1997.

The Tuen Mun–Chek Lap Kok Link (Chinese: 屯門至赤鱲角連接路, abbreviated as TM–CLKL) is a road project in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It comprises two elements: the "Northern Connection" and the "Southern Connection". The Northern Connection comprises an undersea tunnel crossing the Urmston Road, linking Tuen Mun to the "Boundary Crossing Facilities" (BCF), an artificial peninsula connected to Hong Kong International Airport. The Southern Connection, officially named Shun Long Road (順朗路), comprises viaducts linking the BCF to North Lantau Highway on Lantau Island.
Yat Tung Estate (Chinese: 逸東邨; Jyutping: jat6 dung1 cyun1) is a public housing estate in the western part of Tung Chung, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is divided into Yat Tung (I) Estate and Yat Tung (II) Estate, which collectively have a population of 36,913.
Pui O (Chinese: 貝澳, or 杯澳), formerly Lo Pui O (螺杯澳), is an area on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It is a popular destination for holiday camping in Hong Kong. Visitors may also rent village houses for leisure. Located in the South Lantau, there are four main villages in Pui O, they are Lo Wai (老圍), San Wai (新圍), Lo Uk (羅屋), and Ham Tin (鹹田). Pui O is located at the edge of Lantau South Country Park.

梅窩文武廟是香港一所文武廟,位於新界大嶼山梅窩白銀鄉,是當地最古老的廟宇,建於明朝萬曆年間(1573年至1620年),較香港開埠初期設立的上環文武廟還要早二百多年。梅窩文武廟面積較小,不過規模尚算完整,供奉文帝文昌帝君和武帝關聖帝君。廟宇曾於光緒二十七年(1901年)及1960年重修。

香港國際機場一號客運大樓為香港國際機場首座客運大樓,在1998年7月6日正式啟用,承建商是BCJ聯營公司(由英國的艾銘建築及保富集團、中國建築、以及日本的熊谷組及前田建設組成),造價逾101億港元。大樓佔地57萬平方米,曾經是世界上最大的機場航廈建築的世界紀錄保持者,有關紀錄於2008年被面積達98萬平方米的北京首都國際機場三號航站樓打破。大樓內設登機櫃位、接機區及香港機場購物廊。機場客運廊(即登機閘1-80及511-530)也位於一號客運大樓的建築內。

Shek Pik Prison (Chinese: 石壁監獄) is a prison in Hong Kong, located at 47 Shek Pik Reservoir Road, Shek Pik, Lantau Island. It was built in 1984, and is managed by the Hong Kong Correctional Services. The prison is used to contain prisoners with medium to long sentences, as well as those sentenced to life imprisonment.

芝麻灣半島(英語:Chi Ma Wan Peninsula)是香港新界大嶼山東南部的一個半島,因半島上東北部的芝麻石林及因此命名的芝麻灣而得名。芝麻灣半島的主體為老人山,東南部為北長洲海峽,並與長洲隔海相對,西北面則為貝澳。整個半島的大部份範圍屬於南大嶼郊野公園,而香港最長的郊遊徑(芝麻灣郊遊徑)則穿梭其中。
Lo So Shing Beach is a gazetted beach in Lo So Shing in the west of Lamma Island, Hong Kong. The beach has barbecue pits and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The beach is 214 metres long and is rated as Grade 1 by the Environmental Protection Department for its water quality. It is located several kilometres away from Hung Shing Yeh Beach and there is no road connection to the beach.

長洲石刻是香港長洲島上的一個古蹟,位於長洲的東南部,東灣和觀音灣之間,華威酒店的山坡下。石刻的刻鑿年代尚無從稽考,不過它的紋飾和青銅時代的紋飾較為相似,因此可能是由前14世纪的先民所刻。石刻上有由數條曲線環繞著小凹槽構成的兩組紋飾,但經過風化,其紋理已不太清楚。

Mong Tung Wan (Chinese: 望東灣) is a bay and a village on Chi Ma Wan Peninsula, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong.
鹿洲(英語:Luk Chau)是香港的一個島嶼,地區行政上屬於離島區,位於南丫島東北邊。鹿洲是每年農曆五月初一南丫島天后誕的舉行地點,島民帶天后像、花炮及龍獅隊乘船前往,並舉行龍舟比賽。鹿洲對岸南丫島本島上建有天后宮。
