Washington College is a private liberal arts college in Chestertown, Maryland. Maryland granted Washington College its charter in 1782. George Washington supported the founding of the college by consenting to have the "College at Chester" named in his honor, through generous financial support, and through service on the college's Board of Visitors and Governors. Washington College is the 10th-oldest college in the United States and was the first college chartered after American independence. The school became coeducational in 1891.

The George Harper Store is a historic crossroads general store located in Still Pond, Kent County, Maryland, united States. It is a late 19th-century five-bay frame commercial structure, two stories high with a central entrance and gable roof. Attached to it is a series of later additions, believed to date from about the turn of the 20th century. It operated as a store from 1894 to 1959.
Millington Wildlife Management Area is a 4,000-acre Wildlife Management Area in Kent County, Maryland. The area is ecologically diverse, featuring hardwood forests as well as various types of wetlands, fields, and meadows. Millington supports a large variety of wildlife, including, whitetail deer, turkeys, quail, rabbits, and waterfowl, as well as protecting a number of endangered plants and animals species. The site also provides outdoor recreation as well as hunting in all established seasons.
Shrewsbury Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Kennedyville, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a rural parish church constructed in 1834, and remodeled to its present vernacular Gothic-influenced appearance in 1890. The church is constructed of brick and features a three-stage buttressed and crenelated tower at the entrance, a low one-story chancel, and Gothic influenced walnut furnishings. South Sassafras Parish, as it was originally known, was one of the original 30 Anglican parishes in the Province of Maryland. Buried in the churchyard is John Cadwalader, a general of the American Revolutionary War.

Chestertown Historic District is a historic district in Chestertown, Maryland. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970, and its area was increased in 1984. The town on the Chester River, became the chief port for tobacco and wheat on the Eastern Shore of Maryland between 1750 and 1790. The port declined thereafter, as Baltimore became the major port for such activity. In consequence, Chestertown acquired a collection of more than fifty Georgian style town houses. The 18th-century residential area survived without harm a 1910 fire that destroyed the central business district of Chestertown.
Chestertown is a historic railway station built in 1902–03 for the Pennsylvania Railroad and located in Chestertown, Kent County, Maryland. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, 17-by-47-foot (5.2 by 14.3 m) Queen Anne–style building. It features a hip roof with a wide bracketed overhang that provided shelter for train passengers on all four sides.
Christ Church, Graveyard and Sexton's House is an historic Episcopal church complex located at Worton, Kent County, Maryland. The church, also known as Christ Church IU, is a small brick structure, basilican in plan, with a narrower sanctuary appended. It was built in 1765 (more likely 1845–1870) to serve as the parish church of Chester Parish which had been established that same year. It is a well-proportioned example of a small Gothic Revival structure interpreted in brick. The Sexton's house dates from the period of the earlier church and consists of two adjoining sections, one brick and one stone, both one story high with dormers.
Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, a part of the Chesapeake Marshlands National Wildlife Refuge Complex, is a 2,286-acre (9.25 km2) island located at the confluence of the Chester River and the Chesapeake Bay. Established in 1962 as a sanctuary for migratory birds, Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge provides natural habitat for over 240 bird species — including bald eagles and transitory peregrine falcons — and is a major staging site for tundra swans.
