കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കുപരിധിയിൽ നീണ്ടകര വില്ലേജുൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപ്പഞ്ചായത്താണ് നീണ്ടകര. 10.19 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഗ്രാമപ്പഞ്ചായത്താണ് നീണ്ടകര. കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന മത്സ്യബന്ധനകേന്ദ്രം, തുറമുഖം എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ പുരാതനകാലം മുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. പ്ലീനി, ടോളമി തുടങ്ങിയ പുരാതന പാശ്ചാത്യ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ യാത്രാവിവരണങ്ങളിൽ നീണ്ടകര പരാമൃഷ്ടമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. മത്സ്യബന്ധന തുറമുഖമായ ഇവിടെ നിരവധി മത്സ്യസംസ്കരണശാലകളും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇവിടെ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന മത്സ്യങ്ങളിലധികവും സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഇതര ഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്ക് കയറ്റുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. പരമ്പരാഗത രീതിക്കുപുറമേ, യന്ത്രവത്കൃത ബോട്ടുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചും ഇവിടെ മത്സ്യബന്ധനം നടത്താറുണ്ട്.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയുടെ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറുള്ള കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ വരുന്ന ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കുപരിധിയിലാണ് പന്മന പഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ പഞ്ചായത്താണ് പന്മന. അതേസമയം ഇതേ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള പഞ്ചായത്തുമാണിത്. 16.85 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്ററാണ് പന്മന പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിസ്തൃതി. ഒരു ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്ററിൽ 3000-ത്തിനടുത്താണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനസാന്ദ്രത. അപൂർവ്വ ധാതുമണൽ കൊണ്ടു സമ്പുഷ്ടമാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശം. ടൈറ്റാനിയം പിഗ്മെന്റ് ഫാക്ടറിയെന്ന വൻകിട വ്യവസായസ്ഥാപനം ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിലാണ് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവരുന്നത്. കയർ നിർമ്മാണവും സമുദ്രോൽപ്പന്ന കയറ്റുമതിയുമാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ മുഖ്യതൊഴിൽ

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയുടെ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറുള്ള കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കുപരിധിയിലാണ് തെക്കുഭാഗം ഗ്രാമപ്പഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തുൾപ്പെടുന്ന ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കുപ്രദേശം ഓണാട്ടുകര കാർഷികമേഖലയുടെ തെക്കേയറ്റത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. 20.26 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള തെക്കുംഭാഗം പഞ്ചായത്ത് ചവറ ബ്ളോക്കിലെ ഏറ്റവും വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ളതും ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ ജനസാന്ദ്രതയുള്ളതും ആണ്.പനയ്ക്കറേ റാടിൽ ഭഗവതീക്ഷേത്രം, ,നടക്കാവ് ശ്രീനാരായണപുരം ക്ഷേത്രം , ഗുഹാനന്ദപുരം സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യക്ഷേത്രം ,പുലിയൂർ ധർമ്മശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രം ,ഉദയാദിത്യപൂരം ശിവക്ഷേത്രം എന്നിവ പ്രധാനഗ്രാമക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ ആണ്.മാമുകിൽ സെൻറ് ജോസഫ് ചർച്ച്,ലൂർദ്പുരം ലൂർദ് മാതാ ചർച്ച്,വടക്കുംഭാഗം സെൻറ് ജെറോം ചർച്ച് എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രധാന ക്രൈസ്തവ ദേവാലയങ്ങൾ

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ സുമദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും ശരാശരി 3 മീ. ഉയരത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന 16.75 ച.കി.മീ വിസ്തീർണ്ണത്തോടു കൂടിയ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ആണ് കുലശേഖരപുരം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ ഓച്ചിറ ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് തഴവ പഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. 23.58 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തൃതിയിൽ വ്യാപിച്ച് കിടക്കുന്നു. തഴവ, പാവുമ്പ എന്നീ രണ്ടു ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ ഒന്നിച്ച് ചേർന്ന പഞ്ചായത്താണ് തഴവാ പഞ്ചായത്ത്. തഴപ്പായ വ്യവസായ കേന്ദ്രമായി ഖ്യാതി നേടിയ തഴവ ഇപ്പോൾ നിരവധി വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നു .തഴപ്പായ വ്യവസായത്തിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് തഴവ എന്ന സ്ഥലനാമം കൈവന്നത് എന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
