Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home is the presidential library and museum of Dwight David Eisenhower, the 34th president of the United States (1953–1961), located in his hometown of Abilene, Kansas. The museum includes Eisenhower's boyhood home, where he lived from 1898 until being appointed to West Point in 1911, and is also the president's final resting place. The Chapman Creek Pratt Truss Bridge is a Pratt truss bridge located near Chapman, Kansas. The bridge spans Chapman Creek, a branch of the Smoky Hill River, and carries a dirt road called Quail Road. It was built in 1905 by the Canton Bridge Company. The bridge was one of 800 Pratt truss bridges in Kansas as of 1998 and is considered "an excellent example" of one of the most common bridge types in the state.

KABI (1560 AM) is a radio station licensed to Abilene, Kansas, broadcasting a classic hits format. The station first went on the air in 1963, broadcasting from the lowest level of the Sunflower Hotel in downtown Abilene. Wyman Schnepp was the original owner and general manager. His wife Willa was its first engineer. Schnepp only had ownership for 4 years before he sold KABI to Norton Warner, of Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1967. J.K. Vanier and Jerry Hinrikus (EBC Radio) of Salina, Kansas, bought KABI and its sister FM, KSAJ, in late 1991. Then in January 2004 Morris Communications (MCC Radio) acquired KABI as part of a 6-station group purchase from EBC. Most recently Alpha Media, LLC., bought KABI on September 1, 2015, and, almost immediately, spun it off to Rocking M Media.

The Lander Park Carousel, known also as Parker Carousel, Dickinson County Parker Carousel, or Riverton Park Carousel is a historic carousel in Abilene, Kansas. Built around the turn of the 20th century, it is one of only three surviving carousels out of about 68 built by Abilene's Charles W. Parker Carousel Company, and it is the only remains of the company in Abilene today. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It is now a feature of the Dickinson County Heritage Center, a local history museum.

Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe 3415 is a preserved 3400 class 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive, built in June 1919 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works (BLW) for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF). It was retired in 1954, it sat in Eisenhower Park in Abilene, Kansas, until 1996. At that point, it was put on display in the Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad (ASV) yard. In 2005, restoration work began to restore the engine to operating condition, restoration work was completed in 2008 and the engine began hauling excursion trains on the line. It is the only operating steam locomotive in Kansas and is one of four Santa Fe steam engines still operating in the U.S.

The Wilson Pratt Truss Bridge is a Pratt Truss bridge over the Chapman creek near Chapman, Kansas that was built in 1904. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. It was built by the Canton Bridge Co. and is an excellent example of this type of bridge along with the nearby Chapman Creek Pratt Truss Bridge. The bridge spanning the creek is 90 feet (27 m) long. It has a wood deck. There are two additional approach spans on either side of the bridge for a total length of 165 feet (50 m). Due to its location on a dirt road, it has been mostly left alone and does not carry much traffic. It is also denoted as 21-HT-1 and as KSHS Inventory # 041-0000-0169.

The Abilene Union Pacific Railroad Freight Depot is a historic railroad freight depot located at 110 North Cedar Street on the southwest corner of Northwest Second Street in Abilene, Kansas. Like the passenger depot nearby, it was originally built in 1928 (though not opened until 1929), designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood and was constructed by G.A. Johnson & Sons company in Chicago. The depot was in the Mission/Spanish Revival architectural style, though it also contains some Greek revival elements.
