Kent County

First State Heritage Park is Delaware's first urban "park without boundaries" linking historic and cultural sites in Dover, Kent County, Delaware, the city that has been the seat of state government since 1777. It is a partnership of state and city agencies under the leadership of Delaware State Parks. Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States Constitution. The sites of the park highlight Delaware's role as the First State. First State Heritage Park is open year-round, with special tours of the sites given the first Saturday of each month.

Griffith's Chapel, also known as Williamsville Methodist Church, is a historic Methodist chapel located at the junction of Williamsville Road and Abbotts Pond Road in Williamsville, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1850, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building measuring 24 feet wide by 30 feet deep. It has a gable roof and is sheathed in clapboard. The property also includes a 19th-century graveyard in which early members of the congregation are buried.

John Bullen House is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built between 1775 and 1781, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay center hall plan, brick dwelling. The interior retains original woodwork in the central hall, the former dining room, and the second floor south bedroom. The Farmers' Bank of Delaware purchased the house in 1959.

Dover Hundred was a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Dover Hundred was created in 1682 as St. Jones Hundred. It was renamed Dover Hundred in 1823. In 1859, Dover Hundred was divided into East Dover Hundred (39°06′44″N 75°44′42″W) and West Dover Hundred (39°39′32″N 75°34′04″W).

East Dover Hundred in the U.S. state of Delaware was originally part of St. Jones Hundred, which was renamed Dover Hundred in 1823, which was then divided in 1877 into two hundreds: East Dover Hundred and West Dover Hundred.

Elizabeth Stubbs House is a historic home located at Little Creek, Kent County, Delaware. It was built about 1866, and is a two-story, three-bay, frame-and-weatherboard dwelling with rear wings. It has a grey slate, concave, mansard roof with gable dormers. It features oversized dentil moldings on the roof cornice and on the door and window lintels, cut out scrolls on the dormers, and patterned square and hexagonal slate roof tiles.

Duck Creek Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Duck Creek Hundred was formed in 1682 as one of the original Delaware Hundreds. Its primary community is Smyrna.

George Arnold House was a historic home and farm complex located at Kenton, Kent County, Delaware. The house was built the 1830s, and was a two-story, three-bay, side-plan dwelling with a rear wing in the Greek Revival style. Contributing outbuildings included frame chicken houses, sheds and corn cribs, milk house, and a bank barn. They dated to the late-19th and early-20th centuries.

Gov. William T. Watson Mansion is a historic mansion located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1906, and is a two-story, five-bay, center hall brick dwelling in the Classical Revival style. It features a full width front porch with massive round wooden Doric order columns and a hipped roof with dormers. It was the home of Delaware Governor William T. Watson (1849-1917).

John B. Lindale House is a historic home located at Magnolia, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1886, and is a two-story, frame dwelling, in the Queen Anne style. It is almost square in plan, and features two-story bay windows, a large semi-circular projection, and polygonal turret towers.

Durham-Shores House is a historic home located near Dupont Station, Kent County, Delaware. It is an L-shaped dwelling constructed in two parts. Its original plan was as a "house and garden" style dwelling a 1 1/2-half-story, two-bay dwelling containing a single finished room on the ground floor and a second room above. The original section was built about 1860. A two-story, four-bay, block built about 1910, forms the stem of the "L."

Great Geneva is a historic home located near Camden, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in about 1765, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick, hall-and-parlor plan dwelling with a small frame kitchen wing. The layout is an adaptation of the Resurrection Manor plan. It is associated with the prominent Hunn family and the local Quaker community. The house was an important station on the Underground Railroad.

The Jehu Reed House was a historic home located in Little Heaven, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1771 and expanded and remodeled in 1868. It was a three-story, five-bay, brick dwelling, with a lower, three-bay rear wing containing the kitchen and servants' quarters. The main section had a hipped roof and a Victorian porch with decorative ironwork.

Jonathan Woodley House is a historic home located at Little Creek, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to the mid-19th century, and is a two-story, three-bay, vernacular frame and weatherboard dwelling with a 1+1⁄2-story rear wing. The front doorway exhibits Greek Revival style influences. The house has been considerably altered since its listing.

The Katherine M. Lee is a sail-powered oyster schooner, built in 1912 at Greenwich, New Jersey. She is 85-foot-long (26 m) and all the framing is of white oak. The rigging was removed in the 1940s, when the vessel was converted to diesel power. She is maintained and used for oyster dredging on the waters of the Delaware Bay.

The Henlopen Conference is a high school sports conference comprising public schools in Kent County and Sussex County in lower Delaware. The teams participate in a variety of sports including football, boys and girls soccer, track and field, cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls indoor track, boys and girls outdoor track, wrestling, boys and girls lacrosse, baseball, softball, cheerleading, boys and girls swimming, and field hockey.

Dover High School is a high school located in Dover, Delaware. It is a part of the Capital School District.

Eden Hill is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware, built by Delaware Colonial Supreme Court Justice Nicholas Ridgely in 1749. The house was built in two sections; a double-pile, side-hall three bay structure to the south, and a lower two bay section of two rooms to the north. The stuccoed dwelling has a gable roof on both sections. It was the home of the prominent Ridgely family, who purchased the property in 1748.

Gov. George Truitt House is a historic home located near Magnolia, Kent County, Delaware. It was built about 1796, and consists of a 2+1⁄2-story, stuccoed brick main house, with a 2+1⁄2-story braced frame wing. The house is in the late-Georgian style. It features a gable roof with an interesting modillioned box cornice and an exterior chimney with sloped weatherings and corbelled lip. It was the home of Delaware Governor George Truitt (1756-1818).

J. H. Wilkerson & Son Brickworks was a historic abandoned brickworks and national historic district located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. The district includes the sites of three contributing buildings and one contributing site at the brickworks that operated from 1912 to 1957. The sheds, machinery, kiln, and other structures which housed the machinery remain standing, others have deteriorated or collapsed. Last standing were the storage shed, the shed over the brick-making machine, and one of the drying sheds. All of the machinery was in place as were other pieces of equipment used in the brick-making process. The walls of the kiln remain standing, just as they would have been left after the fired bricks are removed.

Kenton Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Kenton Hundred was formed in 1869 from Duck Creek Hundred. Its primary community is Kenton.

Golden Mine is a historic home located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. The house was built about 1763, and is a two-story, three bay frame dwelling sheathed in cypress shingles. It has a double entrance. There is a two-story, one bay, brick addition with another front entrance. Both sections share a steep gable roof. There are rear frame additions. The interior features a large fireplace, winding stairs to the second floor, and front and rear doors, separated by a single board partition.

Hoffecker-Lockwood House, also known as "Bellevue," was a historic home located at Kenton, Kent County, Delaware. The house dated to the mid-18th century, and was a two-story, three-bay, hall-and-parlor plan brick dwelling. Attached was a low, two-story, west gable brick wing built part of the original structure and served as a service wing. The interior featured Georgian-style paneling. Also on the property were a contributing kitchen, smokehouse, barn and stable.

James McColley House is a historic home located at Milford in Kent County, Delaware. It is a two-story, five-bay, brick-and-frame dwelling in two sections. The brick section is the older section and dates to about 1790. It is in the full Georgian plan. Sometime during the second quarter of the 19th century, the house was changed to a Victorian Gothic Revival style. The house has a double entrance door and cross-gable roof with box cornice and decorative brackets.

Felton Railroad Station is a historic railway station located at Felton, Delaware, United States, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Woodside East is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,316 at the 2010 census.

Peter Lofland House is a historic home located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. It was built about 1880, and is a two-story, five-bay, L-shaped center hall brick dwelling with a mansard roof. It has a two-story rear wing. It features a three-bay with decorative brackets and a projecting bay.

Town Point, also known as Kingston-upon-Hull and Logan's Lane, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It is one of the oldest buildings in Delaware. It was built in three sections, with the earliest dated to about 1677. The oldest section is a brick, three bay structure consisting of two rooms and a center hall. A one-story, brick kitchen wing was added to the original section at an early date. A five-bay frame second story was added early in the 19th century.

Saxton United Methodist Church is a historic United Methodist church located at the junction of Main and Church Streets in Bowers, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1879, and is a long, narrow, one-story, gable-roofed, Gothic-influenced frame building with board-and-batten siding. It measures approximately 40 feet, 5 inches, in length by 24 feet, 5 inches, in width. The steeply pitched roof is topped by a pyramidal-roofed, bell cupola. The church was moved to its present location in 1893.

Star Hill AME Church, also known as Star of the East Church, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church building and cemetery located in Dover, Delaware near Camden, Kent County, Delaware. It was constructed about 1866, and is a one-story, three-bay by three-bay, gable roofed, frame building in a vernacular Gothic Revival-style. It features a small bell tower at the roof ridge. Interments in the adjacent cemetery are believed to begin with the founding of the church in the 1860s, but the earliest marked grave dates from the early 1890s.

Raymond Neck Historic District is a national historic district located near Leipsic, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses eight contributing buildings and four contributing structures in a rural area near Leipsic. There are three two-story, center hall plan, brick dwellings dated between 1820 and 1867 and known as the John Raymond house (c. 1830), James Hoffecker house (c. 1820), and Robert Wilson's "Hebron" (1867). The other contributing buildings and structures are related outbuildings.

Palmer Home is a historic home for the aged located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1907, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick structure with a gable roof in the Colonial Revival style. A two-story, flat roofed wing was added in 1930. The front facade features a hip roofed porch with Doric order columns and a square balustrade. It was built by the woman's organization The King's Daughters, and remained in operation until 1987.

Robert Hill House, also known as "Alley," was a historic home located at Kenton, Kent County, Delaware. The house dated to the last decade of the 18th century, and was a two-story, three-bay, side hall plan brick dwelling in the Federal style. It had a gable roof and the front facade features a simple entrance portico. The rear wing was extended in the late-19th century with the addition of a frame wing.

South Murderkill Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. South Murderkill Hundred was formed in 1855 from Murderkill Hundred. Its primary community is Felton.

Thomas' Methodist Episcopal Chapel, also known as Thomas Chapel, is a historic Methodist chapel and cemetery located near Chapeltown in Kent County, Delaware. The site was the location of the freedman Harry Hosier's 1784 sermon, the first to be delivered by an African American man directly to a white congregation.

Old Fire House is a historic fire station located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1925 as a combination fire house for the Carlisle Fire Company and community center. It is a two-story, square brick building with a projecting two-story entrance wing and stair tower. It has a flat roof and cornice capped with pre-cast concrete blocks.

St. Thomas More Academy was a private Roman Catholic high school in Magnolia, Delaware. It was a parish run school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.

Thomas B. Coursey House is a historic home located north of Coursey Pond near Felton, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1867, and is a three-story, five-bay, low hip-roofed, center-hall passage, single-pile, rectangular-plan, large frame house. It has Italianate-style design details. Attached to the main house are a two-story, shed-roofed north wing and to the east there is a recently added one-story, shed-roofed wing. It was the home of Thomas B. Coursey, a prominent figure in 19th century Kent County.

Tharp House is a historic home located near Farmington, Kent County, Delaware; it was the home of Delaware Governor William Tharp (1803–1865). It is a 2+1⁄2-story, four-bay frame structure, with a three-bay brick rear portion. It also has a rear wing, which is thought to have been a kitchen outbuilding joined to the main body of the house.

Todd's Chapel, also known as Todd's Methodist Episcopal Church and Todd's United Methodist Church, is a historic Methodist chapel at the junction of Todd's Chapel Road, and Hickman Road near Greenwood, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1858, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building in a vernacular Greek Revival style. It measures 32 feet, 9 inches, wide by 44 feet, 9 inches deep. It has a gable roof and features stained glass windows. The one story Church School Building wing was added to the church in 1966. Located east and north of the church are cemeteries dating to the third quarter of the 19th century, with the earliest marker dated 1861.

Bowers (commonly known as Bowers Beach) is a town in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2020 census, its population was 278.

Logan School House is a historic one-room school building located at Kitts Hummock, Kent County, Delaware. It was built about 1868, and is a one-story, gable roofed frame structure with grey simulated brick composition siding. The interior has a plastered barrel vault ceiling. The school served the educational requirements of the agricultural community of lower St. Jones Neck School District. Sometime after 1920 the building ceased to function as a school and it was converted into a private dwelling.

Milford Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Milford Hundred was formed in 1830 from Mispillion Hundred. Its primary community is Milford and included 38°55′32″N 75°25′44″W, 38°54′47″N 75°26′07″W, 38°53′11″N 75°26′23″W, and 38°54′42″N 75°25′42″W.

Little Creek Hundred Rural Historic District is a national historic district located near Little Creek, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses 21 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure in a rural area near Little Creek. It consists of 11 distinct adjoining farm complexes, an octagonal school house and the Little Creek Quaker Meeting house and cemetery. Eight of the major buildings are built of brick, three are frame, and two are stone.

Loockerman Hall is an historic home located on the campus of Delaware State University at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to before 1730, and is a large, two-story, brick plantation home in the Georgian style. It measures 40 feet by 50 feet. It was the first building on the campus of the Delaware State College, originally established as the State College for Colored Students by an act of the Delaware General Assembly on 15 May 1891. Therefore, it is associated with the founding of Delaware's efforts to provide higher education for its African-American students.

Matthew Lowber House is a historic home located at Magnolia, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1774, and is a two-story, three-bay, brick dwelling, with a two-bay frame addition added about 1855. The interior has excellent panelling, the original wide floor boards, and a winding enclosed stairway. An addition was added to the back of the house in 2020.

North Murderkill Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. North Murderkill Hundred was formed in 1855 from Murderkill Hundred. Its primary community is Camden.

Lewis Family Tenant Agricultural Complex is a historic home and farm located at Wyoming, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1850, and consists of a dwelling and two contributing barns. The house is a two-story, hall-and-parlor plan brick dwelling with a frame rear wing. The barns are 20th century replacements for older structures that were allowed to deteriorate and had to be replaced. They were built in the 1920s. The complex was constructed as a tenant farm by a large land owner.

Mahon River Lighthouse is a U.S. lighthouse in Port Mahon, Delaware, on the west side of the mouth of the Delaware River.

Milford New Century Club is a historic women's club house in Milford, Kent County, Delaware, USA. It was built in 1885 as a schoolhouse for the Classical Academy. It is a one-story, T-shaped building with a gable roof in the Late Gothic Revival style. The New Century Club was organized in 1898, and purchased the building in 1905, after meeting at the building starting in 1898 and leasing it since 1900.

North Milford Historic District is a national historic district located in Milford, Kent County, Delaware, United States. It encompasses 98 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 1 contributing structure in the original town as laid out in 1787. It mainly consists of residential and commercial buildings, the majority of which were built before 1860. They include examples of the Greek Revival and Federal styles. Notable buildings include the "Billy Welch House," Welch/Hart House, "Sudler Apartments" (1793), James Hall House (c. 1880), and the "Towers" (c. 1783), home of Governor William Burton (1859-1863). The Christ Church, James McColley House, Mill House, and Parson Thorne Mansion are located in the district and listed separately.

Octagonal Schoolhouse, also known as the Eight-square School House, is a historic octagonal schoolhouse building located in Cowgill's Corner, Kent County, Delaware.

Memorial Hall is a 1,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Dover, Delaware. It is home to the Delaware State University Hornets men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team.

Mifflin-Marim Agricultural Complex is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. The complex consists of four contributing buildings and two contributing structures. The main house dates to about 1820, and is a two-story, five-bay, center hall plan brick dwelling. The L-shaped dwelling has a low two-story rear wing. The house and its associated agricultural outbuildings are reflective of 18th century building techniques. They are a barn, stable, frame corn crib and granary on brick piers and a series of small sheds and utility buildings.

Mill House is a historic home located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware. The house is located across from the Parson Thorne Mansion. It is a late-18th century, two-story, three-bay, brick dwelling with a frame rear wing. It has a 2/3 Georgian side hall plan. It was owned by Delaware Governor Peter F. Causey (1801–1871) and was a rental property for the family.

Mispillion Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Mispillion Hundred was formed in 1682 as one of the original Delaware Hundreds. Its primary community is Harrington.

Mordington, also known as the Douqlass House, is a historic home located near Frederica, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to about 1785, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, double-pile plan, brick dwelling in the Georgian-style. It has a lower frame and brick wing to the east that was replaced in the late 1960s. The original two main doorways and most of the original interior woodwork were removed to the Winterthur Museum and Country Estate.

Macomb Farm, also known as the Thomas Irons House, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to the 18th century, and is a two-story, brick dwelling. It has a brick wing extending the original house. The interior is arranged according to the so-called Quaker or Penn plan.

The St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church at 103 Mispillion Street in Harrington, Kent County, Delaware. It is a single-story wood-frame structure with vernacular Gothic Revival features. It has a steeply-pitched gable roof, and narrow pointed-arch stained-glass windows with scissor-like muntins and mullions. It was built about 1895 for a predominantly African-American congregation founded in 1830.

The Delaware Division of Libraries Is the official library agency for Delaware located in Dover, Delaware. The agency is responsible for Delaware Library Access Services (DLAS), the statewide summer reading program in conjunction with Delaware Libraries, and offering professional development opportunities for librarians statewide. They also run the Delaware Library Catalog.

The St. Stephen's Protestant Episcopal Church is a historic church building at 110 Fleming Street in Harrington, Delaware. It is a single-story wood-frame structure, built in 1876 in the Carpenter Gothic style.

Greenwold, also known as the Manlove Hayes House, was a historic home formerly located in Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1863, and consisted of a 2+1⁄2-story center hall plan main house with a rear service wing. The main house was a five bay wide, stuccoed structure. It had a cross-gable roof with a bracketed cornice. The house featured a full width verandah. The property retained much of its original landscaping at the time of its addition to the National Register of Historic Places.

Little Creek Hundred is a hundred in Kent County, Delaware, United States. Little Creek Hundred was formed in 1682 as one of the original Delaware Hundreds. Its primary community is Leipsic.

Wyoming is a historic railway station located at Wyoming, Kent County, Delaware. It was built by the Delaware Railroad in 1872, and is a one-story, five-bay, brick, Italianate-style building. It has a low hipped roof with shallow eaves, round-headed doorways and windows, and a projecting bow-front window. The station has been renovated for use as town offices.

Wheel of Fortune is a historic home located near Leipsic, Delaware. It was built in the 18th century, and is a two-story, five-bay, one room deep whitewashed brick dwelling in the Georgian style. William Stevens House, also known as Peach Mansion, is a historic home located at Kenton, Kent County, Delaware. The house was erected about 1860, and is a three-story, five-bay, single pile frame dwelling in the Italianate style. It has a low hipped roof and a projecting box cornice with decorative brackets. The original house, built about 1811, forms the gable-roofed, three-bay, two-story, rear wing. Also on the property is a contributing 19th century springhouse.

Woodland Beach Wildlife Area is a state wildlife area located in Kent County, Delaware, along shore of the Delaware Bay. It is 6,320 acres (2,558 ha) in size and is managed by Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Fish & Wildlife.

It was expanded in the early 20th century with an addition to the gable end and a one-room, one-story, shed-roofed kitchen addition. The house was moved to its current location around 1930. It was occupied by farm laborers working on the White–Warren farm.

Bradford-Loockerman House, also known as the Loockerman House, is a historic home located at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. The house is in two sections; one of brick and one frame. The original section dates from 1742 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick, nearly square five bay structure in a First Period English(late-Medieval) / early-Georgian style. Attached is a substantial later frame addition. It fronts directly on the sidewalk with no front dooryard, but has a large and very handsome garden behind the main house and on its south side.

Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church and cemetery located at S. State and Water Streets at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It is located on one of two public squares set aside for houses of worship in the Dover town plan of 1717. The church was established as a mission church of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in 1704 and the building constructed in 1734. It was remodeled in 1859 and 1887. It is a brick structure composed of the original rectangular nave, surrounded by brick appendages. Adjacent to the church is the cemetery, with a number of notable burials. The cemetery includes a cenotaph to a signer of the Declaration of Independence Caesar Rodney; the actual location of Rodney's remains is unknown.

Barratt Hall, also known as the Philip Barratt House, is a historic home located near Frederica, Kent County, Delaware. It dates to the mid-18th century, and is a two-story, three-bay, center-hall plan brick dwelling in the Georgian-style. In 1784, Bishops Thomas Coke and Francis Asbury met in the house with Mrs. Miriam Barratt and eleven preachers. They held council here which ended in sending Freeborn Garrettson to summon preachers to the Christmas Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, at which the Methodist Church in America was organized. It was the home of Philip Barratt, who donated land and, together with Waitman Sipple, erected Barratt's Chapel in 1780.

Carpenters Bridge in Kent County, Delaware, United States is an area associated with the name Carpenters Bridge. Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations (AFMAO) is a U.S. Air Force mortuary affairs unit located in the Charles C. Carson Center for Mortuary Affairs at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware. AFMAO combines the functions of both Air Force Mortuary Affairs and Port Mortuary, and was historically known as Dover Port Mortuary. AFMAO houses the United States' only port mortuary, the largest mortuary under the Department of Defense (DoD), and the only DoD mortuary located in the continental United States. The facility is named for mortician Charles C. Carson.

The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve consists of two unique components, one on Blackbird Creek (39°23′47″N 75°37′04″W) and the other on the St. Jones River (39°05′33″N 75°26′44″W). Freshwater wetlands, ponds and forest lands dominate the Blackbird Creek component. The St. Jones component is dominated by salt marsh and open water habitats of the Delaware Bay.

Christ Church is an historic Episcopal church and cemetery located at 3rd and Church Streets in Milford, Kent County, Delaware. The original section was started in 1791, with construction continuing until 1835. Between 1863 and 1894, the church underwent several alterations and additions. It is a brick structure in the Gothic Revival style. The adjacent cemetery has a number of notable burials including Delaware governors William Burton (1789–1866), Peter F. Causey (1801–1871), and William Tharp (1803–1865).

Barratt's Chapel is a chapel located to the north of Frederica in Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1780 on land donated by Philip Barratt, owner of Barratt Hall, and a prominent local landowner and political figure. Barratt, who had recently become a Methodist, wanted to build a center for the growing Methodist movement in Delaware.

Bank House is a historic home located at Milford, Kent County, Delaware, United States. It was built between 1854 and 1857, and is a three-story, five-bay, brick Greek Revival-style dwelling. It measures 42 feet by 34 feet and has a two-story, L-shaped wing measuring 40 feet by 18 feet. It has a flat roof and features an entrance portico supported by classic Corinthian order fluted columns. It was designed to be the banking house for the Bank of Milford, and included bank operations and housing for the cashier of the bank and his family. The bank failed before the building was complete, then completed by a physician who completed it as his residence and medical office.

Camden Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meeting house located on Delaware Route 10 (Camden Wyoming Avenue) in Camden, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in 1805, and was still in operation as a Quaker meeting house when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. A modern Camden Friends Meeting and Social Hall has been built behind the historic building, which now serves the meeting, and was designed to be energy-efficient and architecturally respectful of the historic building.

The Coombe Historic District is a national historic district located at Felton, Kent County, Delaware. It encompasses two contributing buildings and one contributing structure near the town of Felton representing an unusual mixture of archaeological resources, both prehistoric and historic, in combination with two excellent examples of domestic architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are the brick Benjamin Coombe House, built in 1778, and the frame Caldwell House, built in 1882 with their respective outbuildings. It also includes the Hopkins Cemetery, begun in the late-19th century, and three historic archaeological house sites, as well as an area of prehistoric occupation that was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as "Area F" in the Hughes Early Man Complex.

On September 21, 2007, two 17-year-old Delaware State University freshmen were shot on campus. One died 32 days later on October 23, from critical injuries sustained in the attack. A freshman student from East Orange, New Jersey, Loyer D. Braden, was arrested and charged with murder; the charges were dismissed in May 2009 due to lack of evidence, as well as eyewitnesses saying that Braden was not the shooter.
